Today is Earth Day. So many things you can do on this day to celebrate and give back to the beautiful nature the surrounds us.

🌱 Stay on a trail instead of walking through vegetation.

🌱 Pick up a scrap of garbage and put it in its proper place.

🌱 Plant a native species in your yard to serve as a future pollinator.

🌱 Grab a group of friends to go out and hug those glorious trees.

🌱🌱And how about starting the conversation of literally going green with a natural burial, aqua dissolution, natural organic reduction or burial at sea.

A beautiful day out there to make a drive and then a call at a wind phone in Columbia County, Oregon.

Wind Phone St. Helens OR USA
The Wind Phone is located at McCormick Park in St. Helens, Oregon. Follow the main road into the park from S 18th St. You will go past a BMX track and baseball feilds on your right. Continue straight as the road curves slightly to the left and park in the main parking lot that is in-between the Veterans Pavilion on your right the playground and bathrooms on your left. To the west of the parking lot and Veterans Monument and Pavilion is a large grassy area. The Wind Phone is located on the other side of this grassy area near the trees and is facing the raised Japanese Garden. - "The Wind Phone is dedicated in loving memory to Wallace Edward "Wally" Thompson, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He lived, worked, and served in the community of St. Helens in countless ways throughout his life."

This Wind Phone is located at Veterans Park in Scappoose, Oregon. As you enter the park by turning onto Captain Roger Kucera Way from JP West Rd, the Wind Phone is located on your left along the paved pathway between the Veterans/Armed Forces Monument site, and the bocce ball courts. There is one handicap parking space directly next to the monument, additional street parking, and a parking lot further down the road near the playground. Bathrooms are located in the center of the park between the two baseball fields. - "The Wind Phone is dedicated in loving memory of all Veterans, past and current."
