Please join us in congratulating Nancy on being named our Citizen of the Year. She embodies our core values every day—compassion, dignity, teamwork, respect, and making a difference—in all of her interactions with peers, staff, and visitors.

Nancy partnered with the recreation team to create a reading program for the children in daycare and is a constant advocate for her peers. She treats everyone she meets with genuine kindness and compassion.

Nancy was joyfully surprised by family and friends as she received this well‑deserved honor.

Residents, staff, and volunteers are planting outside this week to add a spring refresh to our courtyards. Residents took a trip to Pleasant View Garden to pick out flowers, plants, and vegetables to be placed around the building. Stop outside to see their progress on your next visit. 🌷🌼🌻

During the week of June 1st through June 5th, 2026, the Merrimack County Nursing Home held a combined celebration to honor all members of the nursing department, including LNAs, MNAs, unit aides, and nurses. This year's festivities were designed to be even more impactful by bringing the entire team together for daily events and appreciation.

Daily Highlights:

Monday: The week kicked off with breakfast sandwiches served for the first and third shifts, while the second shift enjoyed whoopie pies and cookies.

Tuesday: Staff enjoyed a bagel and coffee bar featuring Panera Bagels and a variety of coffee flavorings and cold foam.

Wednesday: The annual BBQ took place in the cafeteria courtyard for all three shifts. Activities included a money cyclone (cash cube), a prize wheel, and water balloon toss.

Thursday: A "Chicken and Waffles" was hosted in the theatre, featuring waffles made by staff and chicken tenders provided by the dietary department.

Friday: The celebration concluded with an ice cream sundae bar for all three shifts.

In addition to the daily meals, staff were recognized with various prizes including cafe meal tickets, potted flowers, Dunkin' gift cards, and MCNH swag.

Every member of the nursing department works incredibly hard, and we deeply appreciate every single one of you. Your dedication and passion for nursing make a profound, positive impact on our residents every day.

Join us for our 2026 Summer Raffle. Prizes include a kayak, tent, beach cart, Weber grill, and all the fixings. Tickets are 15 for $5 and you choose which prizes to place your tickets on. All proceeds go towards the resident's Christmas fund to help make the most magical holiday. Tickets can be purchased at the reception desk and prizes are displayed in the J.D. Colcord Sunroom.
