Platelet Saturdays are coming up at the Massachusetts General Hospital Kraft Family Blood Donor Center on June 27th and July 11th. We would love for you to come in and donate!

All platelet donors who donate in June or July will be entered to win 1 of 4 loaded beach bags filled with summer goodies including a 2 YETI® cups, waterproof JBL® speaker, sunscreen essentials, beach towels, and more. We will raffle off 2 bags after each Platelet Saturday.

Plus, all platelet and whole blood donors in June and July will receive a canvas tote bag with blood donor goodies inside.

50 years of saving lives 🩸✨

On May 27th, Gregory Nash came in to donate blood, marking exactly 50 years to the day since his very first donation with Massachusetts General Hospital.

Over the last five decades, his dedication and countless donations have impacted so many lives in our community. We are incredibly grateful for his generosity and commitment year after year.

Our incredible volunteer, George Brennan, was honored with the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ Award. For more than 20 years, George has generously dedicated his time to the Blood Donor Center—helping with everything from mailings and posters to folding shirts. He has a gift for lighting up any room and is always ready to greet you with a warm hug ❤️🩸

After nearly 30 years of dedicated service, our Donor Center Manager, Kim Cronin, is retiring!

Throughout her time at the MGH Blood Donor Center, Kim led with strength and compassion—guiding us through pivotal moments like 9/11, COVID-19, and countless organizational and technology changes. Her leadership has left a lasting impact on our team and the donors we serve every day.

We are so grateful for everything she’s done and will miss her greatly. Wishing Kim all the best in her well-earned retirement ❤️

A Big Thank You to AMMP for hosting a recruitment table today. AMMP has been running holiday blood drives for many years - helping to recruit blood donors during a time when donations are notoriously low. Volunteers from the group man these tables 2 times a week throughout December. Stop by the main corridor and say hi!
