This morning in Boston several faith communities, volunteers and the Boston Public Health Commission hosted a special Memorial Service. We honored all of the people who have died while living on the streets and in shelters.

Me2 musicians James Hanford, violin, and Daniel Nerger, piano, provided music for this occasion. It was an honor to be included in this poignant remembrance of our community members lost in recent weeks and months.

It was a great Recovery Day in Nubian Square! Thank you to Me2 flutist Earl Grant-Lawrence and his bassist Zachary Rochester for performing at the event. What a beautiful day for community-building and great music!

Thursday, 9/17 is Nubian Square Recovery Day! Join us at the Shaw-Roxbury library between Noon-4:00 pm for a showcase of art created by individuals in recovery, as well as food, entertainment, and health resources.

The programming begins at 1:00 pm with a performance by Me2 flutist Earl Grant-Lawrence (pic above). Earl will be joined by bassist Zachary Rochester.

This event is a collaboration between BPHC, Nubian Square Task Force, BPL, and the Mayor’s Office of Arts & Culture. Me2 is pleased to bring music to this celebratory event.
