"The Psychosis Response Guide" Now available! Written by our wonderful PREP clinicians Carina Aline and Rachel Waford

Dr. Rachel Waford, a member of the ACBS Psychosis SIG, is excited to share her recently published book, "The Psychosis Response Guide: How to help young people in psychiatric crises." This book, co-authored by Dr. Carina Iati, is designed for non-mental health professionals who may have the unique opportunity to be "first responders" for a young person in the early stages of psychotic illness. Examples of "first responders" are teachers, professors, coaches, religious leaders, parents, and law enforcement. This text provides basic, necessary information to guide an individual through the critical steps of assistant to better achieve effective early intervention for psychosis in young people, and create a broader mental health community.
