The National Alliance for Grieving Children recognizes November as Children's Grief Awareness Month, with Children's Grief Awareness Day on the 18th. Symboled by the blue butterfly, children's grief awareness aims to provide education and insight into how children grieve differently from adults, as well as to provide resources to support a grieving child.

Top recognized organizations include Comfort Zone Camp, Camp Erin, The Eluna Network, The Dougy Center, Full Circle Grief Center, and more.

Do you know a grieving child? Send a message to ask any questions you may have.

"Therapists specialize in prompting you into reflection. They help you understand why you feel or act the way you do. They help you change not by pressing you to take action, but by helping you work through your inner blocks until change starts to naturally happen. If you feel like you need healing, therapy may be exactly what you need.

Life coaches specialize in mobilizing you into action. They help you identify goals and come up with action plans. They hold you accountable and keep you motivated. If you have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to achieve something you feel ready to achieve, but feel like you need a little help getting there, a coach might be exactly what you need.

That said, both therapists and life coaches can help you work on personal growth."

Yes, there's overlap. No, they are not the same.

Have you been trying to decide whether life coaching or therapy is a better fit for you? It can be hard to get a clear picture of the difference between them when so many of the articles out there are trying to sell you one or the other.

Today marks not only my late grandmother’s birthday, but also four years since the passing of my first patient. I hope they’ve connected in the afterlife as both were two amazing, strong women. I want to share what I originally posted as the lesson still rings true:

“This time is hard, but I am reassured that I should be here for these moments. Moving to Boston for new opportunities meant sacrifice. […] Blood, sweat, and tears were the bare minimum. But I've also gained more than I can imagine. My relationships that I have developed with my clients feed my soul. Knowing that I am able to provide a healing space for those who are living in their last stages of life, those dying and those who are grieving has allowed me to feel everything deeply without fear. I can now be in a place to look my own grief in the eye and embrace it.

I often look back at the loss in my life, that is the pessimist in me. While this is not the way it is suggested we live, this reflection is what allows me to relate to those going through similar experiences. It allows me to offer a helping hand, a hand I didn't always have. This choice to serve this hurting population comes from my own suffering. To heal, one must allow their pain to exist. One cannot work with something that they pretend isn't there. And I've learned that pain is malleable. It can be shaped and changed by it's owner. It can look different every day, and it can be survived. This lesson was only learned through loss, and this is the first time I have accepted loss as worth it.”

Loss and trauma shape us just as much as faith and joy. I know all have made me who I am today. The incredibly deep feeler, the empath, the giver, the curious, the scared, and the brave. While it’s easy to wish some of the things I went through never happened, and accepting that in many ways they shouldn’t have, each made me the resilient, loving woman I am.

Are you looking for low-cost holistic life coaching? Well today is your day. We are now accepting new coaching clients!

Are you feeling stuck? Do you have goals you're struggling to achieve? Are you wondering, "Why can't I...?" or "Why won't I...?" Do you need a safe person to process your roadblocks with?

Life coaching offers a safe space to identify strengths and challenges an individual is having with achieving a certain goal. Maybe you're struggling with self-love, body image, or a flared up nervous system. Maybe you're having difficulty finding motivation, or feel you don't have a support network to cheer you on and hold you accountable.

As a life coach I can help you find your "why" behind your goals, make a plan broken down into small, attainable steps, and hold you accountable without guilt and shame. I have experience helping others through career challenges, grief & loss, body image & body neutrality, and health & wellness. What areas do you need support for?

Send me an inquiry at [email protected] or DM this page for more info. Don't wait until it's too late as there are limited spots available. Reserve yours today.
