Lately, I’ve been hearing the same thing from patients over and over again.

“I’m doing everything the same way I used to. But it doesn’t work the same anymore.”

Nothing is obviously wrong. Labs look fine. Habits are solid. And yet recovery feels incomplete, like something no longer fully resets.

Most people assume they’re slipping.

They’re not.

I wrote this to put words to that shift, for anyone who’s felt it but hasn’t been able to explain it.
