In this webinar, we will be discussing the importance of language development in children with Down syndrome (specifically ages 1-7 years old) in relation to a new study at MassGeneral Hospital Down Syndrome Program. Currently, we don’t know enough about how children with Down syndrome develop communication skills. Each child develops differently, and we’re not sure what helps them most or when important changes happen. The TALK study focuses on learning more about how young children with Down syndrome learn to communicate and develop language. The study team is recruiting children with Down syndrome between the ages of 1.5 and 4.5 years. If you agree, your participation will include 3 in-person visits at Massachusetts General Hospital and 11 tele-health check-in visits.
