A lot of people postpone joy.

“I’ll enjoy myself when…”

When I lose weight.
When I’m more confident.
When I have more money.
When life feels less messy.
When I become a better version of myself.

But life has a habit of moving the finish line.

And before we know it, years pass waiting for permission to enjoy the present.

You don’t need to become someone else before you deserve happiness.

You don’t need to earn every good thing through self-improvement.

You are allowed to enjoy your life while still growing.

You are allowed to celebrate yourself before everything feels figured out.

Maybe this version of you deserves joy too.

Some friendships arrive quietly and then somehow become part of who we are.

The people who answer the phone.
Who check in.
Who sit with us through difficult moments.
Who celebrate our wins without competition.
Who remind us who we are when we forget.

Friendship doesn’t always get the same attention as romantic relationships.

But healthy friendships can be one of the most powerful sources of connection, resilience, and wellbeing we have.

Sometimes healing happens in therapy and sometimes healing happens because someone consistently shows up.

Today we’re celebrating the people who make life feel a little lighter.

Tag someone you’re grateful for. 🤍

There’s something incredibly special about being in a room where people feel safe enough to be honest.

Last workshop we spent the evening talking about love, dating, attachment, emotional safety, and the courage to ask ourselves what we truly want in our relationships.

There were moments of reflection, moments of laughter, thoughtful conversations, and reminders that so many of us are navigating similar questions, even when it doesn’t feel that way.

To everyone who joined us: thank you.

Thank you for showing up with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore these conversations together. We hope you left feeling a little more connected to yourself, and a little less alone.

This workshop may be over, but the conversation certainly isn’t.

We’re already thinking about what comes next… and we’d love your help.

What workshop would you love to see at Be Heard? 💭

Is there a topic, conversation, or life experience you wish we explored together?

Leave your ideas in the comments, we’re listening. 🤍

It’s easy to believe a “good summer” has to look impressive.

The perfect vacation.
The perfect body.
The perfect social life.
The perfect photos.

But most meaningful summers aren’t made of perfect moments.

They’re made of small ones.

A conversation that stayed with you.
A slow morning.
A book you couldn’t put down.
A sunset you actually stopped to watch.
A day that felt peaceful.
A moment when you felt fully present.

Not every meaningful season looks exciting from the outside.

Sometimes the best moments are the ones that never make it onto social media.

What are you hoping for more of this summer? 🌞

Save this as a reminder that a meaningful life isn’t built through perfect moments, it’s built through real ones.🤍

There’s a strange pressure around transitions.

Especially after graduation.

Everyone suddenly expects certainty.
A plan.
A direction.
A five-year vision for your life.

But many people quietly feel: lost, overwhelmed, behind or terrified of making the wrong decision.

Big life transitions can trigger anxiety because uncertainty naturally activates fear.

And social media often makes it look like everyone else already knows exactly what they’re doing.

Most people don’t.

You are allowed to still be figuring things out.
Your worth is not measured by how quickly you have your life perfectly organized.

Growth often looks unclear while you’re inside it.

If you’re in a season of transition right now: be gentle with yourself.

Christian & Miranda answer about: Emotional Regulation Skills Group

There are people walking around every day carrying:

- anxiety
- emotional overwhelm
- people-pleasing patterns
- fear of rejection
- emotional exhaustion
- difficulty communicating
- intense emotional reactions
- constant overthinking

…while secretly believing they’re the problem.

But often, the problem isn’t who you are.

It’s that nobody ever taught you the skills needed to navigate emotions safely and effectively.

DBT is powerful because it combines emotional validation with practical tools.

This means learning:

- how to pause before reacting
- how to self-soothe
- how to tolerate difficult emotions
- how to communicate clearly
- how to stop emotional spirals earlier
- how to feel emotions without drowning in them

And these are skills that impact every area of life:
relationships, work, family, self-esteem, stress, and emotional wellbeing.

This course is for anyone who wants to feel more emotionally grounded, self-aware, and equipped for real life.

Hallie & Elizabeth answer about: Be Heard Workshop | LOVE, DATING AND THE COURAGE TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT 🤍

Dating can quietly become a performance.
Trying to say the right thing.
Not seem “too much.”
Not seem “too distant.”
Trying to be wanted. Chosen. Desired.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, many people stop asking themselves a very important question: “Is this actually aligned with me?”

Because attraction alone is not enough to sustain a relationship.

Neither is chemistry. Neither is potential.

A healthy relationship is not just about being liked.
It’s also about feeling emotionally safe, respected, understood, and able to fully be yourself.

This workshop is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters to you in relationships.

Not perfection. Not games. Not pretending not to care.
Just deeper self-awareness, healthier connection, and the courage to understand what you genuinely want.

Some friendships feel like emotional exhale.

You don’t overthink every message.
You don’t feel emotionally drained after spending time together.
You don’t feel pressure to be more entertaining, more useful, more impressive.

You simply feel calmer. Seen. Supported. Emotionally safe.

Healthy friendship is deeply underrated.

Because sometimes healing doesn’t only happen inside therapy rooms.

Sometimes healing also happens in relationships where you no longer feel the need to constantly protect yourself.

Tag the friend who feels like emotional safety. 🤍

Being the strong one is a role people don’t question.

You’re the one who listens.
Who supports. Who shows up — no matter what.
And over time, it becomes expected.

So you stop asking for help.
You carry things on your own.
You make space for everyone else —
but not for yourself.

And the hardest part?

People assume you’re okay… because you always are.
But being the strong one is exhausting.
You don’t have to carry everything alone.

Save it for when you need the reminder. 🤍
