🎓 Welcome, Class of 2030!

Yesterday, the newest Terriers officially joined the Boston University community at Matriculation, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Sargent College Class of 2030. ❤️

In her welcome to the Class of 2030, President Melissa Gilliam encouraged students to embrace the differences that make our community stronger, find common ground, listen to one another, and approach new ideas and perspectives with curiosity, kindness, and respect.

At Sargent, we’re excited to see where your curiosity, compassion, and ideas take you. Together, you’ll learn how to turn knowledge into action and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Welcome to Sargent. Welcome to BU. Welcome to a community committed to Health Knowledge. Human Impact.

Here’s to the beginning of an incredible journey, Class of 2030! 🐾

🎉Congratulations to Human Physiology Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Dustin Allen, on receiving a "10 Under 40 Award" from the University of Central Missouri.

From Dr. Allen--
“My three years at UCM shaped the trajectory of my life in ways I could not have imagined,” Allen said. “During that time, I had the privilege of playing college basketball, meeting my future wife, discovering my passion for exercise physiology and building friendships with people from all over the world. I was inspired by professors who cared deeply about their students and modeled the kind of commitment, encouragement and mentorship that I still try to carry forward today. The lessons I learned through academics, athletics and community at UCM continue to influence how I teach, mentor and lead in my role at Boston University.”

Congratulations, Dr. Allen! We're so happy to have you here at Sargent.
