Today is a reminder that rest is part of the work, too.

We spend so much of our lives moving, doing, accomplishing, and taking care of everything around us. But our bodies need moments to pause, breathe, and restore.

This Labor Day, give yourself permission to slow down. 🧘♀️

Take a walk.
Stretch gently.
Take a few deep breaths.
Rest without feeling guilty.
Listen to what your body is asking for.

✨ You don’t always have to do more. Sometimes, your body needs you to simply be.

Wishing you a peaceful, restorative, and beautiful Labor Day from all of us at Be Center! 💛

You are allowed to practice differently today.

Maybe yesterday you had energy and today you don't.

Maybe last week you wanted movement and this week you need stillness.

Maybe something that felt good a month ago doesn't feel right today.

That doesn't mean you've failed.

It means you're paying attention.

Our bodies aren't static.

Our lives aren't static.

Why should our practice be?

Give yourself permission to meet yourself exactly where you are today.

💚 What would it look like to let today's practice be different?

Let's take a break from talking about yoga for a minute. 😊

If you've been following Be Center for a while, you probably know me as a yoga teacher.

But there's more to me than yoga.

So here's your chance to ask me something you've always wondered.

What's one thing you'd like to know about me?

It can be about my life, my teaching journey, my favorite things, what makes me laugh, what I'm currently curious about... anything.

I'll answer some of your questions in a future post.

Your turn. 👇💚

What are you letting go of? 🌿

Sometimes a yoga practice gives us a quiet space to ask questions we don't always have time to ask in everyday life.

What are you ready to release?

What are you making room for?

And perhaps most importantly…

What is nourishing you right now?

As the seasons change, nature reminds us that letting go is part of life. Things ripen, shift, soften, and make space for what comes next.

Our practice can offer that same invitation.

Not to force anything away, but to notice what we're carrying and decide what we're ready to set down.

💚 Take a moment today and ask yourself: What am I ready to let go of, and what do I want to make room for?

Before I teach, I try to notice myself first.

How am I arriving today?

Am I rushing?

Am I distracted?

Am I holding tension somewhere?

Am I actually present?

Because I don't want to teach from a script.

I want to meet the people in front of me.

And I think that begins with being willing to notice where I am, too.

Teaching isn't about pretending to have everything perfectly figured out.

It's about showing up with attention.

💚 Before your next practice, try asking yourself:

"How am I arriving today?"

Okay, let's have some fun today. 😂

Every yoga practitioner has something that makes them think...

"Really?"

Maybe it's:

🎵 Music that's way too loud

⏱️ A practice that moves too quickly

🧘 Being told there's only one "right" way

😅 A pose that your body absolutely does NOT want to do

Or something completely different.

What's your yoga pet peeve?

I'm curious. And I promise there will be no judgment here. 😂👇

“Wait… I have BIG butterflies flying in my upper back!” 🦋

Sometimes a movement can create a sensation that is so unexpected, you can't help but notice it.

That fluttering, buzzing, or shifting feeling is a reminder of just how much information our nervous system is constantly receiving from muscles, joints, skin, and deeper tissues. Our sensations can change as we move, breathe, shift position, and bring our attention inward.

And that's part of what makes embodied movement so fascinating.

Instead of immediately asking, “What is that?”, try getting curious:

Where do I feel it?
Does it change when I move?
Does my breath change?
Can I stay present with the sensation without needing to make it go away?

You don't have to chase a sensation.

You can simply notice it.

💚 Have you ever experienced a surprising sensation during yoga or mindful movement?
