Do pregnant mamas get the same type of adjustment as other patients?

Not really!

Dr. Abigail uses The Webster technique, which is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that aims to reduce interference to the nervous system.

The goal is to improve the function of the pelvic muscles and ligaments, which reduces the constraints on the woman’s uterus and allows the fetus the best opportunity to be positioned for a healthy birth.

Problems with the sacrum or ilium can create abnormal joint function, which causes muscle and ligament imbalances and can contribute to:
👎 Low back pain
👎 Sciatica
👎 Lower abdominal pain
👎 Symphysis p***s pain
👎 Asymmetry (leading to intrauterine constraint)

A balanced pelvis optimizes fetal positioning and baby’s developmental space.

“Stress” is unavoidable, so let Chiropractic care improve your ability to handle it 💪

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) ❤️ is a measure of your body’s ability to handle stress, called “autonomic balance.”

Think of autonomic balance like a teeter totter, with our “stress response system” on one side (sympathetic 😣) and our “relaxation response system” on the other end (parasympathetic 😌).

Ideally, we’d want the teeter to be swung more towards the “relaxation” end.

Unfortunately, many of us who end up with chronic back or neck pain, end up swinging closer to the “stress” end ☹️

“How do we teeter back towards relaxation time?” Great question!

A chiropractic adjustment.

Adjustments have been shown to improve your autonomic balance & increase HRV over time - meaning your body is more adaptable and changes can be noticeable after your first adjustment! 🙌

If you’re ready to teeter on over to the “relaxation side,” give us a call at 📲 (303) 402-1300 or send us a DM

Why do you feel so tired from “doing nothing” - like sitting at a desk or after long car rides? 🤔

⬇ When you sit for prolonged periods, one of the side effects is a decrease in blood flow.

💥 Because your Autonomic Nervous System controls blood flow to the body, one way to kick it into gear is with movement. This will increase your circulation and turn your lethargy into energy!

➡ So even though the last thing you might feel like doing when you’re tired from sitting too long is moving your body, it will actually give you exactly what your body needs and wants - more flow, activity, and vitality.

👟 Even just a 15-minute walk can make a huge difference, so put on your sneakers and get that body moving!

🤰🏾 Yes, not only can you still get chiropractic care while pregnant - but we highly recommend it!

The Webster Technique is a pregnancy specific technique that focuses on your pelvis and all the ligaments and muscles surrounding it.

Physically speaking, having a balanced pelvis is ideal for your baby’s position (providing comfort for both mama and baby), and a productive labor.

Women who received chiropractic care throughout pregnancy report:

⭐ decreased labor time
⭐ better pain management
⭐ less necessary birth interventions

Plus, overall harmony in the womb is supported by nurturing your nervous system’s connection to your baby.

This is one of the most natural, noninvasive, and affordable things you can do to set you and your body up for the best possible experience! 👶

Do you have pain in your neck, shoulder or upper back? You could have “text neck”!

When your neck is bent forward a lot from texting or working on a computer, it can cause rounded neck and shoulders. Reduced mobility and headaches are an added bonus.

Chiropractic care uses spinal manipulation to help correct misalignment and relieve your symptoms!

Why does a baby or child need chiropractic care?

The process of being born is super tough on mom, but also on baby.

According to Pathways Magazine, 90% of newborns suffered the effects of birth trauma (associated strain through the neck and cranial areas following birth).

The research done by Viola Frymann, an American osteopathic doctor, studied more than 1,500 babies periodically across an eight-year period. She examined all babies within the first five days of birth (most were checked within the first 24 hours).

Pathways states:

“This study revealed that approximately:

✅ 10 percent of the newborn babies had perfect, freely mobile skulls or cranial mechanisms.

✅ 10 percent had severe trauma to the head, evident even to untrained observers.

✅ The remaining 80 percent all had some strain patterns in the cranial mechanism.”

Chiropractors who specialize in babies and children are highly trained to correct these issues to optimize the baby’s spinal growth and development.

Want more energy in your workouts!? Keep reading ⬇️

Let’s be real, working out is hard 🤷‍♀️

Not only that, but doing it CONSISTENTLY is even harder, even if you have a Peloton in your kitchen 🚴‍♂️

We might stop because our muscles get tired, we don’t see results, or cause we’re flat out bored.

Let us help you bridge that gap ↪ with a chiropractic adjustment 👌

Adjustments can:

💪 Prevent muscle fatigue

🧘🏻‍♀️ Increase your ability to “focus” during exercise

🤸‍♀️ Improve your coordination

But I’m sure you don’t want any of those… 😉

Highly recommend getting to travel and provide treatment alongside your mentor. Getting the opportunity to continue to learn from Dr. Suzanne is such a gift, even though I have been learning from her for years and years I still gain new knowledge every time that I’m with her. I don’t have many pictures with her from our time in Africa in 2025, but that’s because she’s always so busy helping everybody that she can be hard to pin down. Maybe we’ll get more photos of her next month 🤞🏽

Let’s agree to disagree if you think running is a solo sport. Don’t get me wrong sometime a solo run is exactly what I need and it’s when I do some of my best processing and game planning. But having people to run with can make the miles feel easy and effortless even when they aren’t, it can remind you that you aren’t alone no matter how hard the task is, it can make a mid run hail storm a little less scary (if you live in Colorado you know what I’m talking about). If you ever want a running friend please feel free to reach out to me, I love having running friends 🫶🏽

In 3 weeks we will be back in Tanzania and providing care at 5 different orphanages. We will be performing physical examinations, treating what we find, educating the caregivers on how to treat common ailments and distributing donations. I am raising money to help me cover my travel expenses, medical equipment and food costs. If you are able to donate please follow the link in my bio to my GoFundMe. Thank you!
