On Saturday, April 8th, I will be one of 3 practitioners leading a 2-hour workshop at the North Boulder Rec Center on "Alternative Approaches to Chronic Pain." The workshop will provide an introduction to 5 different health-based modalities that often make a positive difference: Rolfing structural integration, the Feldenkrais Method, Therapeutic Yoga, Somatic (body-based) psychotherapy, and Mindfulness.
Many of you have heard me mention Gil Kelly, my Feldenkrais teacher, and Cassandra Field, my therapeutic yoga teacher (who is also a somatic psychotherapist). This is a chance to meet them, to learn about what they have to offer, and to experience it directly. Gil will lead the group in some Feldenkrais movement. Cassandra will guide us in therapeutic yoga and mindfulness exercises.
