Colorado Women’s Center sends love to everyone grieving the loss of Dolly Parton. Through her music, advocacy, generosity, and example, she uplifted women and championed equality, inclusion, and respect. Called a “feminist icon” by the National Organization for Women, Dolly inspired women to define themselves, stand by their values, and share their gifts at every age.

Kendra, our founder, left home as a teenager with no map for what came next. Years later she was raising her son by herself in Colorado, on student loans, earning two master’s degrees. She started Colorado Women’s Center so the next woman would not have to figure it out alone. Almost ten years later, that is still the whole point.
