Tomorrow is the inaugural Butterfly Blueprint Quickstart and I feel that mix of excitement and tender nerves that comes with offering something new to the world.

The Butterfly Blueprint came out of a season where my own nervous system got loud. Not in a dramatic way. In the everyday way. The kind that looks like pushing through, staying armored, bracing for the next thing, and then wondering why you’re exhausted, reactive, foggy, or shut down.

At some point I stopped asking, “What is wrong with me?” and started asking, “What is my nervous system trying to do for me?”

That question changed everything.

This class is a simple, science-informed map for real life. The goal is not perfect calm. The goal is choice. More moments where you can pause. More access to words. More ability to stay present with yourself and the people you love.

Tonight feels like a good time to share what I’ve been building.

The Butterfly Blueprint is a science-informed, somatic approach to nervous system work. It’s a shift in how I’m supporting clients. Less “talk your way through it,” more “work with the body’s survival architecture so choice becomes available again.”

The map is simple:
Butterfly. Armor. Chrysalis.

Connection and choice. Mobilization and protection. Shutdown and conservation.

Life update: my nervous system has been doing nervous system things lately.

I’ve been quieter on here again, and I want to name why. I’ve been focusing on slowing down, supporting my system, and unwinding patterns I picked up from living in a chaotic environment with minimal support. Last year, I spent a lot of time trying to Armor myself enough to get through repeated shocks to my nervous system.

Part of that came from my work at a rehab. As insurance and documentation demands ramped up, the culture shifted into constant urgency. More pressure, more screens, less space to actually be with humans. My system adapted the way nervous systems do. It armored up.

And I got a very real lesson in what happens when a nervous system is forced to live in Armor for too long. Collapse. Burnout. Hyper-vigilance.

Because here’s what I know, in my bones: you cannot mindset your way out of a biological survival state. You can’t calm down your way out of Armor. You can’t think your way out of shutdown.

The nervous system changes through conditions, pacing, and repetition.

That’s why I created the Butterfly Blueprint. It’s a simple map for real life:
Butterfly. Armor. Chrysalis.
Connection and choice. Mobilization and protection. Shutdown and conservation.

And I’m teaching a free 45-minute class on it, and I’m genuinely excited to share this with the world.
