🌿 Preparing for the Land 🌿

When we step onto the land with intention—whether for ceremony, training, or a soul-listening solo—it’s not just about what we pack… it’s about how we arrive.

Preparing for time in nature means more than just gear and logistics. It’s a practice of listening, humbling, and attuning. Of letting the pace of the natural world begin to shape us before we even arrive.

We invite you to consider:
✨ What does the land you're visiting ask of you?
✨ What stories, emotions, or prayers are you carrying in?
✨ What might you need to soften or shed before stepping into this space?
✨ How might you begin your ceremony of arrival… now?

This is part of how we prepare. For communion, for relationship. For the quiet magic that happens when we meet the Earth as an ally, a mirror, a teacher.

Whether you're coming to one of our trainings or creating your own threshold moment, tending your arrival can make all the difference.

🌀 The preparation is part of the pilgrimage.

Clearing out old files and came upon this handout from my first ever IFS training in 1997 and brochure for an IFS retreat from 1999.

I think the training and materials have come along way since then!

This month, I find myself sitting with something tender — that the struggles we carry are not signs of weakness. They are signs of our humanness.

So much of our suffering comes from the belief that we shouldn't be struggling — that anxiety, grief, disconnection, or overwhelm mean something is wrong with us. But what if we could see these experiences as part of what it means to be alive, to be human, to be a body moving through a world that is often a lot?

This month, Mental Health Awareness Month, I'd love to invite you to turn toward yourself with a little more compassion, to connect with others who understand, to reach out if you need support — because asking for help is one of the most courageous things we can do.

We were never meant to carry it all alone. 🌿

This Medicine Walk is an opportunity to lean into your innate knowing and the wisdom of the land. We begin and end together — in council and gentle ritual.

You will be invited to share what is on your heart and shape an intention for your solo wander on the land.

For your solo time. You will have approximately 2 hours to wander, journal, and reflect, practicing listening deeply to yourself and to the more-than-human world.

When you return, we will gather to share our stories, allowing the experience to settle more fully into the body and the bones.

Come ready to be surprised by what finds you. 🌄
