Robina Waterman showed world‑class grit at the Aquabike World Championship in Pontevedra, Spain — finishing 5th Overall and 1st USA.

Leaky goggles and contact‑lens chaos tried to derail her swim, but she answered with the fastest T1 in the entire field, gaining 40 seconds to 2 minutes on her competitors and flipping the race before powering through the bike.

A resilient, joyful, beyond‑dreams performance on the world stage. 🇺🇸💥

Two IRONMAN races fit on a calendar. Does the plan fit your recovery—and your life?

In episode #560, Planning Two IRONMAN Races in One Season with Coach Lauren, Rich and Lauren explore the decisions behind a second full-distance start line.

Take away practical questions to discuss with your coach:
• What is the purpose of each race?
• How will you assess recovery before rebuilding training?
• What should change for different courses, conditions, fueling and pacing?

Before you commit, map out the time between races and the checkpoints that will help you continue, adjust or defer.

🎙️ Episode #559: Championship Lessons with Coach KO: Prepare, Adapt, Perform

Coach Kristin “KO” Overton joins Coach Rich Soares to explore what the 70.3 World Championship experience can teach every athlete about preparation, confidence, and resilience.

With nearly three decades in triathlon and the perspective of both athlete and coach, KO brings the conversation back to decisions you can carry into your own training and racing:
• Build confidence around what you can control.
• Adapt when race day challenges your plan.
• Turn honest reflection into a better next training block.

Your next step: choose one thing you can improve—preparation, pacing, fueling, recovery, or mindset—and write down how you’ll practice it before race day.

What happens when pushing harder is no longer the answer?

Five months after debilitating sciatic pain made it difficult to sit or stand comfortably, Paul Hunziker returned to racing—and won his age group at the Bonney Lake Triathlon.

Episode #557, Mental Strength When the Body Is Broken, explores the work behind that comeback. Paul joins Coaches Rich Soares and Lauren Brown for a conversation about athletic identity, patience, and taking ownership when you can’t control the circumstances.

We explore:
🔹 Finding purpose when your training routine changes
🔹 Recognizing the small wins that rebuild confidence
🔹 Responding with intention when progress isn’t a straight line

Facing a setback of your own? This conversation offers perspective for the space between where you are and where you want to be.
