Dr. Alison Kerns, naturopathic doctor Welcome to the official page of Dr. Alison Kerns. Explore the healing power of Family Constellations, soul work, and past life regression. (Not medical advice.)

Together, we’ll uncover ancestral patterns and find profound clarity for your soul’s journey. I'm Dr. Alison Kerns — naturopathic physician and Soul Constellator based in Boulder, CO. I work at the intersection of family constellation therapy, somatic experiencing, and past life regression to help people uncover and heal the unseen roots of suffering — physical, emotional, relational, and ancestral. My work is rooted in a simple but profound truth: much of what we carry — the anxiety, the patterns, the grief that won't lift — didn't start with us. It began in the generations before us, in the unresolved stories of those who came before. Through family constellations, we make the invisible visible. Through somatic work, we help the body release what the mind alone cannot process. Through past life regression, we reach the deeper layers of the soul's journey. This is medicine for the body and soul — experiential, embodied, and transformative. I offer monthly Family Constellation Circles in person in Niwot, CO, and individual sessions virtually worldwide. If something in you recognizes this work, I'd love to connect. 🌿

What does it mean to be a “representative” in a constellation? 🌀

In Family Constellations, representatives stand in for members of another person’s family: a parent, a grandparent, someone who was excluded or forgotten. Without knowing their story, we begin to feel their experience: emotions, sensations, movements toward or away from others.

Why it matters:
✨ It helps the client see their family with new eyes
✨ It often stirs healing in the representative’s own lineage
✨ It builds deep compassion for every place in a family system

You don’t need any experience to be a representative. You just need to be willing to feel. 🤍

Save this for later, and share it with someone curious about constellation work.

If you’ve always been the one who felt what no one else would name, who asked the questions that made the room go quiet, who never quite fit no matter how hard you tried, there may be a reason.

In family constellation work, belonging is one of the Orders of Love. Every person in a family has a right to belong, including the ones who were forgotten, hidden, or pushed out. And when someone is excluded, the family doesn’t forget them. Often, one person in a later generation quietly carries their place.

That person usually becomes the outsider. Not because something is wrong with them, but because they love the family so deeply, they unconsciously hold what others couldn’t.

Healing begins when we bring consciousness and compassion to who was left out, and say, “You belong too.” And when everyone has a place, you’re finally free to take your own.

Who in your family has no place yet? Just notice who comes to mind.

Your grandmother’s unspoken grief.

Your father’s silence.

The sibling no one talks about.

They don’t disappear. They get passed down. 🌿

Ever notice yourself repeating a pattern you swore you’d never repeat? Choosing the same kind of partner, carrying a sadness you can’t explain, feeling like you don’t quite belong in your own family?

In a family constellation, we set up your family system in the room, with real people standing in for your relatives, and something remarkable happens. The hidden loyalties show themselves. What was excluded gets a place. And what’s been stuck for generations can finally begin to move.

You don’t need to know your whole family history. You don’t need to have done this before. You just need to be curious about what’s underneath.

This October, there are two ways to join me in circle:

✨ Tuesday, October 27 · 6–9 PM
📍 Memoru Center for Visionary Healing Arts, Boulder
🎟 Personal constellations drawn by lottery, so come ready. It might be you.

✨ Thursday, October 29 · 6–9 PM
📍 Una Vida, Niwot

Some patterns are older than you. Let’s meet them together.

Most family constellation work ends when the circle closes. Mine is designed to carry you all the way through. 🌿

As a naturopathic doctor and family constellation facilitator in Boulder, I begin with the body. Gentle tapping on acupressure points opens the nervous system. Then we map your family line together, and muscle testing shows where the stress lives. From there we constellate what’s ready to move, sometimes into soul and past life patterns older than your family story. You leave with a custom flower essence, energetic medicine matched to the healing frequency of your constellation, so the work keeps unfolding at home.
Body. Lineage. Soul. 💫

If you’ve done the inner work and something still feels stuck, it may be older than you.

Your ancestors aren’t only the ones who hurt you. 🌀

Some of them have your back.

This is the season of the ancestors, when the veil is thin. Take 30 seconds and let the supportive ones stand behind you: mother line on your left, father line on your right.

Notice what your body does when it feels held.

What if the pattern you keep trying to heal didn’t start with you?

An unspoken grief. A forgotten name. A story cut short.

We don’t just inherit eye color and family recipes. We inherit what was never said, never grieved, never allowed to belong.

Family Constellations makes the hidden system visible, so what was left out can be included, and what was never yours to carry can finally be set down.

When the system settles, you come home to yourself. 🌿

Stop scrolling if you’ve been anxious and don’t know why. 🌀

Some of what you’re carrying isn’t even yours — the pattern, the ache, the grief that doesn’t have a name. Family Constellations work looks at what’s been passed down quietly through generations, and helps the whole system settle so you can finally come home to yourself.

Tomorrow night I’m holding our Monthly Family Constellation Circle at Una Vida in Niwot. DM me for details or check out the link in my bio.

The anxiety. The pattern. The ache you can’t explain.

It might not even be yours. 🌀

Family Constellations work looks at what’s been carried quietly through generations — the unspoken grief, the name no one says, the story that got cut short. When we bring light to who was left out and what was left unsaid, the whole system begins to settle. And you get to come home to yourself.

This Thursday, I’m holding space for our Monthly Family Constellation Circle at Una Vida in Niwot.

You’re welcome whether you’re new to this work or returning for your next layer.

The person representing my father made a face I’d completely forgotten he used to make, moved his hands the way he used to move them, and said something he used to say. I hadn’t told him a single detail. I just froze.

My dad passed away from pancreatic cancer, and it was a few years after that when I sat in a Constellation and watched someone I’d never met carry him into the room — not just his memory, but him, in expressions and gestures I hadn’t even remembered until I saw them again on a stranger’s body. Something in me just broke open. Not in a painful way — in a way I still don’t fully have words for. It was recognition. Like some part of him — or some part of me that had been holding him — finally got to be seen.

This is what happens in a Family Constellation. Something moves through the room that words alone can’t get to — and it happens over and over, to people who walked in carrying something they couldn’t name.

This Thursday, I’m holding the Circle again at Una Vida in Niwot. If there’s something in you that’s still waiting to be seen — I’d love for you to come sit in the field with us. Link in bio. 🌙
