The Postpartum Wellness Center of Boulder is committed to providing evidence-based and best-practice support around the prevention and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), like Postpartum Depression. Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders are known to be the most common complication of childbirth and deserve quick and appropriate treatment and support. We believe that every mo

m deserves to feel her best, that each and every perinatal mood and anxiety disorder like Postpartum Depression (PPD) is treatable, and that with appropriate support, moms get well. Some women will find their postpartum adjustment to be mildly challenging while others (about 20%) will suffer from more serious challenges. Through supportive psychotherapy and the development of practical strategies for physical, social, and emotional health, much of the emotional vulnerability that women face during this immense transition can be minimized.
