It is always exciting, and somewhat self-validating, to be able to use my reconstructive skills as a board certified plastic surgeon.
With ever-increasing encroachment on the aesthetic branch of our specialty, reconstructive surgery allows us to help our patients in unique ways that are meaningful and life changing.
Ours is so much more than the enhancement and beautification of bodily form, it is the union of anatomical study, creativity, and technical precision to restore function. So the next time you are in consultation with your plastic surgeon for a cosmetic issue, just know of the countless hours they had spent in additional training on seemingly other unrelated procedures, that manifest themselves in your perfect cosmetic result.
