Are You Processing Your Emotions or Avoiding Them?

Many of us were never taught how to process emotions—we were taught how to push through them, ignore them, or distract ourselves from them.

Emotional processing doesn’t mean staying stuck in your feelings. It means taking time to recognize what you’re experiencing, understand where it’s coming from, and respond with self-compassion rather than judgment.

Avoiding emotions may provide temporary relief, but unprocessed feelings often show up in other ways: anxiety, irritability, burnout, relationship conflict, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

This week, try asking yourself:
💭 What am I feeling right now?
💭 What might this emotion be trying to tell me?
💭 What do I need in this moment?

Emotions aren’t problems to solve—they’re information to understand.

Which side of this graphic do you find yourself relating to most often?

☀️ Managing Heat Intolerance Due to Medications ☀️

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that some medications can make it harder for your body to regulate heat, increase your risk of dehydration, or make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

A few simple ways to stay safe this summer:
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Keep medications stored properly
✔️ Avoid prolonged heat exposure when possible
✔️ Wear lightweight clothing and seek shade
✔️ Use sunscreen and sun protection if your medication increases sun sensitivity

Never stop taking a prescribed medication without first speaking with your healthcare provider.

If you’re unsure whether your medication may affect your ability to tolerate heat, talk with your doctor or pharmacist.

Stay safe, stay cool, and take care of yourself this summer. ☀️💙
