There is something powerful about being with people who know what it is like to survive the trenches of motherhood today.

At The Knapp Clinic, we believe that breastfeeding isn’t just supported by knowledge—it is supported by community.

Research has consistently shown that mothers who have access to peer support are more likely to continue breastfeeding and often report greater confidence, improved breastfeeding self-efficacy, and a more positive experience overall. Having a place where you can ask questions, celebrate the little victories, hear “me too,” or simply know you’re not the only one navigating this season can make all the difference.

But for us, the research just supports what we already know in our hearts. Having a community of people who walk beside us, help to pick us up, allow us to be there to pick them up, to laugh with and cry with, means never feeling alone or helpless.

We’ve watched exhausted parents walk through our doors feeling overwhelmed and unsure, only to leave after spending an hour or more with our team feeling lighter, encouraged, and hopeful. This support can also be found at our Breastfeeding Support Group, where friendships form between women who were complete strangers just weeks before.

Breastfeeding can sometimes feel isolating, especially in a culture where so many parents spend the postpartum period at home without the close network of support previous generations often had. You do NOT have to be a patient. All in this season are welcome.

We want to help make sure no mother has to do this alone, and that you have the opportunity to make some life long friends.

Our Breastfeeding Support Group isn’t just a place to get answers from our clinical team—it’s a place to find your people. Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or simply trying to figure out tomorrow’s feeding, you belong here.

Because sometimes the most important thing a you hear isn’t from a healthcare provider.

Sometimes it’s another mother saying, “I remember feeling exactly like that… and you’re doing better than you think.”

That kind of support can’t be prescribed—but it can change everything. 💛

It’s been a while, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself!

Hi, I’m Jacqueline “Jackie” Cropper, founder and Clinical Director of The Knapp Clinic.

Service has always been at the center of who I am. I had the honor of serving as a Labor & Delivery Nurse in the United States Air Force, where I cared for military families and discovered my passion for breastfeeding medicine, and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

After leaving the military, I pursued my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and APRN license so I could continue serving mothers, babies, and families in an even greater capacity.

The Knapp Clinic was built on a simple belief: every family deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based lactation care. No family should have to struggle alone or go without the support they need.

At The Knapp Clinic, we believe the best way to care for a baby is by taking care of their parents—especially their mother. When parents feel supported, educated, and confident, babies thrive. Whether you’re navigating breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, infant weight gain concerns, or just need reassurance, we’re here to meet you with compassion, respect, and personalized care.

It is truly an honor to serve this community. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your family’s journey. ❤️

I have had the privilege of meeting and working with some of the most amazing people in this beautiful and emotionally challenging space of caring for and advocating for mothers, babies, and their families.

Sitting in that space with moms, being present for them and the things they are going through, and helping them navigate the new, unexplored beginnings of motherhood is something that takes deep strength, love, and compassion.

This fierce and loving woman, , took a giant leap into this space that so few are brave enough to venture into, and she has exceeded every expectation!

Today, she got confirmation of her skill, hard work, and dedication!

Please join me in congratulating her on PASSING HER IBCLC EXAM!!

I am so proud of you, Hillary! Thank you for your commitment to our most deserving and vulnerable population.

♥️ ♥️ ♥️

Love you!
Jackie
