We are proud to announce and welcome, Kali Hammer, as the newest Funeral Director Apprentice joining our team!!
Kali represents another member of the 5th generation to enter in the funeral profession, continuing a legacy that spans over 120 in the Bowling Green Community. She is especially honored to follow in the footsteps of the women in her family who were pioneers in the industry. Her Great-Grandmother, Hildreth Deck Eggleston, was among the first dual-licensed funeral directors and embalmers in the United States, paving the way for future generations. Her Grandmother, Mercene Hanneman was also a licensed funeral director, as is her Aunt Kathy Hanneman, who is celebrating her 50th year in the profession! Also following her Uncles, Kris and Kraig. Kali carries forward this remarkable legacy with pride and deep respect.

Kali is married to Matt, Managing Funeral Director of Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home in Bowling Green, and has long been connected to the profession through both family and community. She is also the owner of downtown, service - based beauty business, which will be expanding into a larger location this summer. Through her business, Kali has built a reputation for creating meaningful, personalized experiences for her clients and is excited to bring that same level of care to the families we serve. She looks forward to incorporating personalized gifts and memorial keepsakes into our service offerings.

In addition, Kali brings over 15 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and event planning. Her extensive background in coordinating meaningful events and supporting families during important moments provides a strong foundation for her role in the funeral service.

Encouraged by her husband and inspired by her family's legacy, Kali is now pursuing her apprenticeship with a deep passion for helping families, building lasting connections and providing compassionate care. Her unique background, combined with her heart for service, makes her a valuable addition to our team.
