Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🍪

There’s just something about a warm chocolate chip cookie that brings back good memories. Whether it reminds you of baking with family, after-school treats, or sneaking one off the cooling rack, it’s amazing how one simple cookie can make you smile.

Today our residents got to enjoy a sweet treat together, along with plenty of laughs and conversation. It’s the little moments like these that help make Magnolia Village feel like home.

Our Magnolia Village family gathered to celebrate one of our own! We surprised our SRNA, Brooke, with a baby shower as she prepares to welcome her sweet baby girl.

Brooke is such a valued member of our team, and we are so excited for this new chapter in her life. It was wonderful to spend time together celebrating with food, gifts, and lots of love.

It never ceases to amaze us how much kindness exists in our community.

We recently received some incredibly thoughtful donations, including handmade sensory blankets and children’s overalls that were lovingly transformed into walker pouches for our residents. These little pouches aren’t just adorable, they give residents an easy place to keep personal items close by while adding a little personality to something they use every day.

The sensory blankets provide different textures, zippers, ribbons, and other interactive elements that encourage engagement and comfort, while the walker pouches are a daily reminder that someone took the time to create something just for them.

It’s generosity like this that helps make Magnolia Village feel even more like home. Thank you to everyone who shares their time, creativity, and talents with our residents. Your kindness truly makes a difference!

📣 Therapy Success Story!📣

When asked about her time at Magnolia Village, especially her therapy, Mrs. Adams didn’t hesitate:

“It was excellent. They kept me going mentally and physically. I think it takes both. They always encouraged me when I’d get a bit down.” ❤️

Mrs. Adams spent 36 years as a CNA, so her words carry special meaning to our team. Knowing someone who dedicated her career to caring for others trusted us with her own care is truly an honor.

Today, we’re celebrating as she returns home to her husband of 53 years. Thank you, Mrs. Adams, for allowing us to be part of your journey. We wish you both many happy years together! 🏡💙

One of our favorite parts of the day is seeing our residents come together to enjoy time with one another. Every day looks a little different at Magnolia Village, and that’s exactly how we like it!

This afternoon was filled with music, conversation, coloring, and plenty of smiles. While some residents sang along, others enjoyed working on crafts or simply relaxing and taking it all in. We know everyone has different interests, so we make it a priority to offer a variety of activities throughout the week to keep our residents engaged, active, and connected.

It’s these everyday moments of togetherness that make Magnolia Village feel like family. We’re grateful to share them with the people who call this place home!

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Tammy, one of our dedicated SRNAs!

Tammy has worked in healthcare for 35 years, beginning her career as a CNA at just 22 years old. She has been an SRNA for the past 8 years, and throughout her career, one thing has never changed — her love for caring for others.

“I have seen so many residents come in, get better, and be able to leave. I love taking care of people. It makes me happy.”

For Tammy, Magnolia Village feels like family, and that’s exactly how she treats the residents she cares for every day. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors.
