From our foundational work that led to the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening, which is now mandated in hospitals before a newborn leaves, to the techniques we created in diagnosing and treating ear infections, our research and treatment has propelled medicine forward across the globe.

A newborn screening changed everything for Remi's family.
When Remi was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), her parents quickly connected with the neurology team at Boys Town National Research Hospital and moved forward with gene therapy treatment. A few years later, when her younger sister Amelia received the same diagnosis, they once again turned to the team they trusted.
