💙 Even therapists need to refill their cup. 💙

From July 16–19, I’ll be taking a short break and heading to Las Vegas to see the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere (cue the nostalgia 🎶).

As therapists, we often talk about the importance of rest, joy, and making time for the things that help us reconnect with ourselves. The truth is…we have to practice what we preach.

Taking intentional breaks isn’t about avoiding responsibilities—it’s about returning with more energy, presence, and compassion for the people who count on us.

Whether your version of self-care is traveling, spending time with loved ones, reading a good book, hiking, or simply allowing yourself a quiet afternoon, know that rest is productive, too.

✨ During this time, I’ll have limited access to email and messages and will respond as soon as I’m back in the office on July 20.

Thank you for your understanding while I take a little time to recharge. I can’t wait to come back refreshed and ready to continue supporting you.

July is your reminder that you don’t have to stay in survival mode. 🌿

The excitement of summer can also bring a lot of pressure—vacations, family gatherings, busy schedules, extra responsibilities, and the feeling that you should be making the most of every moment.

But your nervous system still deserves rest.

This month, give yourself permission to slow down.

✨ Sit outside for a few minutes without your phone.
✨ Take a walk without rushing to the next task.
✨ Say no when your calendar is already full.
✨ Spend time doing something simply because it brings you peace.
✨ Remember that rest is productive, too.

Decompression isn’t something you have to earn. It’s part of caring for yourself.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or like you’ve been carrying too much for too long, therapy can be a place to pause, process, and reconnect with yourself.

You don’t have to do it all alone.

Anxiety can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to face it alone. 💚

Anxiety often shows up as racing thoughts, constant worry, trouble sleeping, feeling on edge, or even physical symptoms like a tight chest, headaches, or stomach aches. While anxiety is your body’s way of trying to protect you, it can begin to interfere with the life you want to live.

The good news? There are effective ways to manage anxiety, and therapy can help you better understand your nervous system, develop coping skills, and regain a sense of calm and confidence.

Remember:
✨ Progress doesn’t mean never feeling anxious again.
✨ It means learning how to respond to anxiety with compassion instead of fear.

If anxiety has been making everyday life feel harder than it needs to be, I’d be honored to support you.

🎆 Fireworks Can Mean More Than a Celebration

For many people, fireworks bring excitement, tradition, and memories with family and friends.

For others, they can bring something very different.

The loud, unpredictable sounds may trigger anxiety, panic, hypervigilance, or painful memories. Some people may find themselves constantly anticipating the next boom, feeling on edge long before the fireworks even begin. Others may notice their body reacting before they even realize why.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

This holiday, give yourself permission to care for your nervous system.
✨ A few ideas that may help:• Wear noise-canceling headphones or earplugs.• Create a calming space indoors with music, white noise, or your favorite movie.• Practice slow, intentional breathing or grounding exercises.• Spend time with supportive people who understand your needs.• Remember that it’s okay to leave an event early or say no altogether.

Healing doesn’t mean loud noises stop affecting you overnight. It means learning to respond to your body’s signals with compassion instead of judgment.

Whatever this holiday looks like for you, I hope you’re able to find moments of safety, peace, and connection—on your own terms. 💙

Memorial Day can hold a lot of emotions.
For some, it’s a long weekend filled with sunshine, family, and connection.
For others, it’s grief, remembrance, loss, or quiet reflection. ❤️

Today, we honor those who gave their lives in service — and we also make space for the emotions that may come up along the way.

If today feels heavy, you do not have to “push through” it.
If today feels joyful, you do not need to feel guilty for that either.
Two emotions can exist at the same time.

Take a moment today to slow down.
Breathe deeply.
Reach out to someone you love.
Allow yourself to feel whatever is present without judgment.

Healing often begins when we stop telling ourselves how we should feel. 🇺🇸✨

Mother’s Day can bring up so many different emotions. 💛

For some, it’s joy, gratitude, and celebration.
For others, it may bring grief, longing, stress, guilt, disappointment, or reminders of relationships that feel complicated.

Some are celebrating their mothers.
Some are missing them.
Some are becoming mothers.
Some are struggling to become mothers.
Some are healing from childhood wounds.
Some are navigating motherhood while completely exhausted.

Whatever today brings up for you — your feelings are valid. There is no “right” way to experience a day like today.

Give yourself permission to feel what is there without judgment. You do not need to force happiness, hide sadness, or compare your experience to anyone else’s.

Take care of yourself gently today. 🤍

Sundays can feel like a mix of calm… and that quiet pressure of “tomorrow’s coming.”

Instead of bracing for Monday, try easing into it.

Take a few minutes today to check in with yourself:• What’s one thing you need this week?• What’s one thing you can let go of?• How can you support yourself instead of pushing through?

You don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to start from a place of awareness and care.

Let Sunday be a reset, not a countdown.

✨ A grounded Sunday leads to a steadier Monday.

Earth Day always has a quiet way of bringing us back to ourselves 🌿

It’s not just about taking care of the planet—it’s about remembering that we are part of it. The same way the earth needs rest, balance, and care… so do you.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin, consider this your gentle reminder:
You don’t have to push through everything today.

Go outside.
Feel the air.
Notice something small and alive.

Let yourself slow down—even for a few minutes.

Nature doesn’t rush, and it still grows beautifully.
You’re allowed that same grace 🤍

Snow days have this quiet way of slowing everything down ❄️

No rushing. No pressure to be anywhere else. Just you, the stillness, and the soft reminder that it’s okay to pause.

Today can be simple:
• Warm coffee or tea in your hands
• Snow falling outside your window
• A cozy blanket and a deep breath

Being present doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s just noticing what’s already here… and letting it be enough.

If your mind starts to wander (because it will), gently bring it back—
to the warmth, the quiet, the moment you’re in right now.

You don’t have to do anything today to be worthy of rest. 🤍

Stay in. Slow down. Let yourself just be.
