Aspen Marino 🔥 Wild One just wrote our latest blog post:

When Understanding Isn’t Enough: Working With the Stories We Carry in the Body

She goes on to explain how our bodies physically store our stories. As much as we logically try to rewrite our life’s history, patterns and blocks our body is constantly reacting. She explains, “the body can be a different doorway.. so we can not just think differently — but FEEL differently”.

Another yearlong circle Katie holds just came to a finish – and a new one will begin in October.

Every other month we gather and attune ourselves to the present moments in each season and listen and learn from one another.

This course is a year of deepening into ourselves and growing together.

Each circle begins with meditation & acupuncture to help find the pace of our natural bio-rhythms. We will learn how to better support ourselves from a Chinese medical lens using somatic tools to build capacity and coherence. Then, we will contemplate everything: share inspirations, challenges & wisdoms with one another.

Join us if you’re called to intimately connect – to yourself and others.

Space is limited to 7 people & has a 10 month commitment.

Mandy, our new massage therapist, has raving reviews!

We have all received her work and are grateful to have found someone as skilled as she is to be apart of Enso.

She has over 10 years of experience doing massage and especially loves working with athletes and bodies that need ‘work’.

While she is building her practice she is offering 15% off your first treatment when you schedule your second.

Check out her offerings that combine skincare and massage if you’re in the mood to relax, revive – and feel ammmazing. This massage weaves in a facial so you walk out with glowing skin, too!

We are welcoming Ammie Chapman, a new Chiropractor to town, as our roommate! She won’t be apart of Enso, but we will be sharing space and we’re delighted to refer clients to her holistic and gentle approach.

Ammie is relocating from Lewistown, Montana, with her family.

Her focus is on treating low back pain using the McGill Method, an evidence-based approach developed by world-renowned spine researcher Dr. Stuart McGill for individuals struggling with persistent or recurring back pain.

Unlike many traditional treatment approaches that focus primarily on relieving symptoms, the McGill Method is designed to identify the underlying mechanical cause of each person’s pain, and every treatment plan is uniquely tailored to the individual. Rather than relying solely on passive treatments Ammie empowers patients with the knowledge and skills they need to take control of their recovery to educe pain, prevent future flare-ups, and restore confidence in everyday movement.

Ammie is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love, and avoid more invasive procedures & surgery.

She is taking new patients at 406-535-6768 & you can check out her work on her website https://amchiroperformance.com

We’re delighted to be working with her in the office!

This smoke is awful!

We are all feeling it so we brainstormed a few ways to help counteract it.

Create a safe room at home or office by sealing off one room with your air filter on high.

Karen Mitchell our nutrition coach recommended to: Stay hydrated! Trace minerals & ‘Epic Defense’ a probiotic specific to immune & respiratory support.

Holcomb Holcomb Johnston Darby, our naturopathic doctor, says NAC, Vitamin C and glutathione! Mullein and other “slippery” plants like chia, flax to eat, marshmallow, slippery elm tea.

She explains, “As it is very “vata” remembering grounding techniques like body oil, baths, herbal steams and literally laying on the beautiful earth, especially near water ❤️”

Katie Cook-Bretson, our acupuncturist, recommended an antioxidant rich diet, especially in the fruits (especially cherries & pears) & greens of the season. Aloe vera infested can help soothe dry lungs and she has a great herbal tincture to support ‘lung yin’ that helps cool and hydrate from the inside. Spirulina is a powerful antioxidant rich in vitamin C helps aide in detoxification.

Katie made a blended tea/smoothie this morning out of the tea “Throat Coat” and added a cucumber, spirulina, aloe vera & lemon.

Elena, our nurse, is offering Glutathione shots for $25 while it’s smokey! You can schedule online.

Our favorite essential oils to breathe are: clary sage, yarrow, eucalyptus mint & fennel.

We’re here if you need an air-purified room to settle your nervous system in ❤️

Katie offers a glimpse into what Somatic Experiencing is in our latest blog post. She has studied this, along with Chinese medicine theories for the last decade, to understand trauma patterns that get stuck in our body’s physiology.

This modality helps us change patterns that inhibit our life force and allow us to become more of ourselves.
More alive, more integrated, more honest & whole at any stage of life.

An exercise from the post for you here (but read the post to learn more!).

✨ Look away from your screen and notice something.

Notice anything.

Actually notice it.

Let your senses tell you what is around you.
Look, listen, feel.

Pause — for only a few seconds, but a real pause.

Let your breath move through your body. Become a little more aware of your body right now.

Feel the contact your body is making with the ground or something supportive.

Notice what you can feel. And, as you sense something notice what might shift or change in your body.

Take your time and listen to your body — as a little gift to yourself.

If this modality calls to you we have 4 providers offering somatic services. Bozeman has an incredible (and large) community of other SE providers, many of us have studied with Abi Blakeslee who offers courses and Bozeman has another SE training beginning in spring of 2027.

We had a heartfelt goodbye to Christina (an incredible massage therapist) & Jacey (our receptionist) this last week.

Watching providers grow a practice, develop their personal mark in their profession, and support the people in our community who walk through our door with their knowledge, skills & best work — is an honor.

After 5 years at Enso Christina is moving into her next chapter as the new director of the massage school, Sacred Roots, here in Bozeman and Missoula. Jacey is moving into another health care admin role at Bozeman Health as a stepping stone to apply to medical school.

We couldn’t be more excited (and proud) for the both of them and will miss their presence they bring to the office so so much!

We have a new incredibly skilled massage therapist, Mandy, and new receptionists. We look forward to this next chapter in watching them bloom in their practices & life, too.

Leigh reminded us that today is Lughnasadh, the midpoint of summer. It is a time to celebrate abundance, community, and the cycles of nature.

In Chinese Medicine we are shifting into the Earth element, harvest season. This is the time of year that we integrate all of our lessons from the past year(s) so we can become more aligned, in integrity, with who we are.
