This smoke is awful!
We are all feeling it so we brainstormed a few ways to help counteract it.
Create a safe room at home or office by sealing off one room with your air filter on high.
Karen Mitchell our nutrition coach recommended to: Stay hydrated! Trace minerals & ‘Epic Defense’ a probiotic specific to immune & respiratory support.
Holcomb Holcomb Johnston Darby, our naturopathic doctor, says NAC, Vitamin C and glutathione! Mullein and other “slippery” plants like chia, flax to eat, marshmallow, slippery elm tea.
She explains, “As it is very “vata” remembering grounding techniques like body oil, baths, herbal steams and literally laying on the beautiful earth, especially near water ❤️”
Katie Cook-Bretson, our acupuncturist, recommended an antioxidant rich diet, especially in the fruits (especially cherries & pears) & greens of the season. Aloe vera infested can help soothe dry lungs and she has a great herbal tincture to support ‘lung yin’ that helps cool and hydrate from the inside. Spirulina is a powerful antioxidant rich in vitamin C helps aide in detoxification.
Katie made a blended tea/smoothie this morning out of the tea “Throat Coat” and added a cucumber, spirulina, aloe vera & lemon.
Elena, our nurse, is offering Glutathione shots for $25 while it’s smokey! You can schedule online.
Our favorite essential oils to breathe are: clary sage, yarrow, eucalyptus mint & fennel.
We’re here if you need an air-purified room to settle your nervous system in ❤️
