20-Hour Continuing Education (10 Live + 10 Online)
Deepen your understanding of yoga beyond the physical body by exploring the energetic systems that have shaped yogic practice for thousands of years.
This 20-hour course combines traditional yogic philosophy with a modern, therapeutic perspective to help you confidently integrate subtle body concepts into your teaching. Through self-paced online lectures and an experiential live weekend, you'll study the koshas, chakras, nadis, vayus, bandhas, mudras, and the role of prana while learning practical, ethical, and trauma-informed ways to apply these teachings in contemporary yoga classes.
Designed for registered yoga teachers, this course emphasizes embodied learning rather than memorization, giving you tools to enrich sequencing, meditation, breathwork, and therapeutic class design while honoring the historical roots of yoga.
Topics include:
The Panchamaya Koshas
Chakras, Nadis, and Prana
The Five Vayus
Bandhas and Mudras
Therapeutic applications of the subtle body
Ethical and evidence-informed integration into modern yoga teaching
This course is approved for 20 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP) and may also be taken as a core module within Embodied Health's 300-Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training.
