Manatee County Health Department will host a drive through specimen collection site for patients with a prescription at the Bradenton Area Convention Center from Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29. There are 200 specimen collection kits for the four-day event. The Department of Health will schedule 50 appointments for each of the four days.
Specimens collected at the site will be sent to labs for testing.
Visitors to the collection site must have a prescription to be tested for COVID-19 and have made an appointment in advance with Manatee County Health Department. To make an appointment, call (941) 748-0747.
The site will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Happy Children’s Day! Szczęśliwego Dnia Dziecka!

In Poland, we celebrate today Children’s Day. And did you know that Polish storks bring babies?:)
Apart from the fact that every fourth white stork has a Polish passport.

Let’s imagine it - the majestic stork is flying over the rooftop carrying a liitle cloth bundle. And a happy couple of parents unrawp a smiling baby. This myth was once a common story to tell children who were deemed too young to be told anything different.

The legend is very ancient, but was popularised by a 19th-century Hans Christian Andersen story called The Storks. This belief still persists in the modern folk culture of many Slavic countries, in the simplified child story that "storks bring children into the world". Storks were seen by the Slavs as bringing luck, and killing one would bring misfortune.
