On September 11, 2001, 2,977 lives were lost, and countless acts of courage, sacrifice, and selflessness followed.

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember those we lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the unity that brought a nation together.

Aviata Health Group is incredibly proud to share a sneak peek of People Worth Caring About, an upcoming national docuseries created in partnership with Florida Health Care Association.

We are especially proud that Aviata at Emerald Shores was selected as one of only eight skilled nursing centers across Florida invited to participate in this meaningful project.

Filming took place this past April, capturing the people, relationships, and moments that make long-term care so special. The series is expected to begin airing in late fall/early winter, and we cannot wait for audiences to see the heart behind the care provided every day at Emerald Shores.

This opportunity is a wonderful reflection of the compassion and dedication of our team members and the incredible residents who make our community what it is.

Since the structural incident that occurred on Saturday at our Bradenton care center, our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.

We continue to prioritize communication with the authorized emergency contacts of our residents and urge anyone with questions or concerns to email 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞@𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐡𝐠.𝐜𝐨𝐦.

Please understand that local officials will not be able to answer questions related to a loved one, so please direct inquires to the email address provided so that your inquiry can be routed to the appropriate team member for support.

We have been humbled by the overwhelming outpouring of generosity and support from our community. The sister care centers that welcomed our Bradenton residents were fully equipped with the supplies, medications, and resources necessary to ensure each resident's individual needs continue to be met without interruption. While we are deeply grateful for every offer of assistance, our residents have everything they need, and we are not requesting donations at this time.

The building remains closed while the appropriate authorities continue their assessment of the structure. We are cooperating fully with the investigation and will provide additional updates as appropriate.

We remain committed to supporting our residents, their families, and our dedicated caregivers throughout this process.

As we continue responding to Saturday's structural incident, we want to thank our residents' families for their patience, understanding, and support during an extraordinarily complex situation.

Our highest priority has always been the safety and well-being of every resident. Safely relocating residents required close coordination among emergency responders, healthcare partners, transportation providers, and receiving care centers to ensure each person was transferred to the most appropriate location based on their individual care needs.

We understand how difficult it was to wait for updates. Our team worked as quickly as possible to confirm each resident's location before contacting families, as sharing inaccurate or incomplete information could have created additional confusion during an already stressful time.

As of Sunday evening, all individuals listed as authorized emergency contacts for our residents have been notified and provided information regarding their loved one's location and care.

Our hearts are with the residents, families, caregivers, and first responders impacted by the structural incident at Aviata at Bradenton Villas.

The safety and well-being of those entrusted to our care has always been—and will always remain—our highest priority. We are incredibly grateful that residents were safely evacuated and that no injuries have been reported.

We recognize that this has been a difficult and emotional time for our residents, their loved ones, and our dedicated team members. We are working around the clock to support every resident, maintain continuity of care, and communicate directly with families as relocation efforts continue.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Bradenton Fire Department, EMS, law enforcement, emergency management officials, healthcare partners, and the many caregivers whose swift response and compassion made a difference.

As the structural assessment and official investigation continue, we are fully cooperating with the appropriate authorities. Out of respect for that process, we will share additional information as it is confirmed.

There’s nothing like great music to bring people together! Our residents had an amazing time singing, dancing, and clapping along to the Black Eyed Peas, filling the room with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun.
