Siete has arthritis in the spine and was dealing with severe stiffness.
Through chiropractic work, we help dogs like Siete restore as much motion as possible.

Arthritis does not have to be the thing that decides how your dog spends their golden years.

Arthritis in the spine usually starts with one thing: a joint that stopped moving the way it should.

Joints are built to move. When a joint (often vertebral joint) gets stuck, the body treats that spot as a weak link and starts laying down extra bone to brace it. Over time, that buildup is what most people call arthritis. Think of a door hinge that never gets opened. It stiffens, rusts, and eventually seizes.

Motion is the lotion. When we restore proper movement to the spine, we take away the constant wear and tear that drove the arthritis in the first place. The joint gets a chance to settle, we often see the irritation can calm down, and your dog gets to keep moving.

We are giving the joints as much motion as possible (motion it lost), so arthritis stops calling the shots.

That is how we help dogs stay active well into their teens and beyond. 🐾

A skin flick reaction can be just a reflex, but it can also mean something is happening in their nervous system.

The difference is where it happens and how strong it is.

Normally, a small skin twitch when you run your hand down your dog's back is completely normal. It's the same reflex that helps them shoo flies off their coat.

But when the reaction is excessive and keeps happening in the same spot, with a bigger intensity every time you touch it, that's worth paying attention to.
An excessive reaction that is repeatable in one area can be due to an underlying misalignment.

So if your dog flinches or twitches every time you touch a specific spot on their back, more than a usual reflex, that's their body telling you something.

To identify early signs of pain in your dog and what they could mean, comment ROADMAP and I’ll send you a quiz that will help you see what your pup is going through.

This is what IVDD can look like when it's progressed. 💔

Dragging feet, an arched back, struggling to walk: these are signs no pet parent wants to see.

If you suspect your dog has IVDD, we’ve created a quiz to help you spot early signs of pain. Early prevention, when possible, is key.

Comment QUIZ and we'll send it right to your DMs.

Benny came in with a limp, and what we found tells a bigger story.

We adjusted his upper back and his right shoulder.
When two connected areas like this are both restricted, it's often a sign that one has been compensating for the other so much over time, that now both have an issue (unless there was a clear injury).

Severus is a german shepherd that gets anxious with storms & loud noises. Chiropractic care has helped him regulate his nervous system better and helps him recover after what his mom refers to as “loud sky booms.”

He also is a very active boy and regardless of whether he knows how big he is or not, is always trying to do parkour on their furniture at home. We check all of his joints to make sure nothing shifted during his crazy activities. He has been getting chiropractic care regularly for over 2 years, so we had to celebrate a milestone birthday with him!

A swaying walk is often brushed off as “just how they walk.” 🐶

But in many dogs, especially larger breeds, it can be an early sign that the hips are not functioning properly.
Over time, the body compensates.

The pressure shifts into the spine, lower back, and front legs, which is why these issues tend to worsen gradually instead of all at once.

The earlier hip dysplasia is identified, the more options there are to support mobility and long-term comfort.
We are Drs. Paul and Brianna and we are on a mission to help dogs live to 20 years and beyond.

Kallie's journey has been tough, but look at how far she's come. ❤️‍🩹

Kallie is proof that the first option you're given isn't always the only option. After her spinal stroke, her parents were told there wasn't much that could be done, that putting her to sleep was something to consider. They said no, and chose to keep exploring.

Five years later, she's still here, going strong!

If you also want to find alternative ways to help your dog recover and improve their quality of life, comment PLAN below.
Let’s talk about your options.

Your dog is talking to you, you just have to know what to look for.

A hunched spine. A sideways sit. Random shake-offs when they're not even wet. A flinch near the tail. These signs could be your pup asking for help.
Most pet parents miss these because they look like nothing. But by the time the limp shows up, the issue could have been building for a while.

Comment ESP and we'll send you our free guide to spotting early signs of pain and what each one could mean 💙
