Hello from our preschool friends!

The summer months have snuck upon us and we cannot be happier! ☀️ over the last month we have been so busy enjoying the sun we have forgotten to let you enjoy our fun with us!

In our classroom we have been discussing someone very special to us; our Dads!! 💖 We spent time talking about our dads by doing questionnaires about them. We learned about our dad’s favorite things to do, eat and even what they enjoy doing with the kiddos!🙃 We also spent lots of time creating beautiful artwork for them! We made shrinky d***s, cool rocks, painted our hands and even made picture frames with a picture of our dads in them!🖼️💕 even though we are very late we want the men in our lives to know we appreciate them more than they know! HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

We have also been talking about summertime and the beach! We have been talking about how we can be safe while we are outside during the warm summer months by wearing sunscreen 🧴, hats 👒 and sunglasses 🕶️. We have also been talking about safety when we go for walks such as staying together and looking both ways before crossing the road!🚷

Along with our themes we are continuing to work on our motor skills, both our large and small muscles. 💪🏼 We have also been talking about healthy and unhealthy foods. 🥦 🍫

The preschoolers have been working very hard on our letter and number recognition skills. Some of our friends have been working on reading small words such as “mom” “dad” “at” “cat” “bat”. They are working on thier phonological awareness by combining the letter sounds to form words!🔠

We are so excited to start our next unit on the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸 and to discuss being an American!

Over the past month our preschool campers have been super busy having lots of adventures fun learning all about Dr. Seuss, the Ecosystem 🌎 , Saint Patrick’s Day ☘️, and Easter 🐣 . While also engaging in so many different activities and being introduced to new ideas 💡 with both our peers and teachers!

We also did some creative crafts such as:
1 fish, 2 fish 🐠, red fish 🎣, blue fish!
Truffulla tree 🌳 names!
Pot of gold!
Handprint rainbow 🌈 !
Animal habitats!
Ecosystem project!
Recycling ♻️ bottles names!
Sponge 🧽 painting 🎨 Easter 🐣 bunny 🐰 footprint 👣!
Paper plate Easter 🐣 bunny 🐰 mask!
Tissue paper chick 🐥!
Peep painting 🖼️!

Over the past month we have also been working on our fine motor skills while working our hand/eye coordination as well as practicing our pencil ✏️ grasp to help us write ✍️ both our names and practice our letters, We have also continued to work on our math by using peg boards to match the quantity to the number and using our math balls to count the balls and place them in a cup while also adding and subtracting balls to see what new number we now have in total. As well as practicing both our busy boxes and binders to work on our feelings, seasons, body parts, and so much more.

We have been working very hard on our social and emotional development by using our words to help express ourselves to both our peers and teachers. We have also been sharing and taking turns while using problem solving and communication with one another! ❤️

Over the past month we have also been working on using our big body movements while working both our upper and lower body strength. While in the gross motor room to help us climb the rock wall all the way to the top, crawl through tunnels, ride a tricycle all on our own, climb the rope to the top, and start and stop with control while running from one area of the room to another. We have also enjoyed being able to go back outside and enjoy the playground 🛝 as well as going for walks as our weather has been getting warmer out while also getting to both enjoy ☺️ and explore all things nature.

Over the next two weeks we will be discussing all about “Down on the farm/Spring”. We look forward to see what creative, fun and exciting warm and sunny ☀️ activities that we can come up with and we are super excited 😊 to continue sharing our journey with you all. Stay tuned 🩷!

Hello from our Preschool Campers!!
We have been so busy creating gifts and fun crafts for our parents that we have forgotten to update you on all our fun!

While we were away we discussed Christmas 🎄 and made tons of presents for our families! We talked about New years and set goals (or wishes) for 2026! (A lot of us would like to take a trip to Disney or the beach!) 🏖️

Along with all of our fun crafts we worked on our letter recognition as well as our number recognition! A few of our friends are now working on letter sounds and sight words! 📖

Over the last two weeks we have been discussing dinosaurs! We made a dinosaur egg 🥚, a paper plate Dino 🦖, we used our toy Dino’s to make Dino footprints 👣, and so much more!

Last week we also welcomed a few new friends to our camp! 🏕️ our friends want to welcome Angelique, Wesley, Madilyn, Brooklynn, Hadlee, Grayson and Liam to our class!! They are doing a fantastic job getting into the flow of our schedule and routines as well as making new friends and playing with each other very well!💓

Over the past month our preschool campers have been super busy having lots of adventures fun learning about all things numbers, shapes, colors, and Thanksgiving. While also engaging in so many different activities and being introduced to new ideas 💡 with both our peers and teachers!

We discussed all things about colors, shapes, numbers, and Thanksgiving such as:
What shape is this?
Can you count to the number 5?
Can you find me a blue circle in the classroom?
What are something’s that we are thankful for?
Who do we spend Thanksgiving with?
What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?

Along with doing some creative and thankful crafts such as:
Color handprints!
Number caterpillar 🐛!
Silly 😜 pet shapes!
Number painting 🖼️!
Paper plate turkey 🦃!
Fingerprint 🫆 thankful tree 🌳!
I am thankful handprints!

For the past 2 weeks our preschool campers have been super busy having lots of fun learning about all things nature and the fall season while also engaging in so many different activities and being introduced to new ideas 💡 with both our peers and teachers!

We discussed things about the nature and the fall season such as:
What colors do the leaves 🍁 change to?
What does the air feel like during the fall season?
When do the leaves 🍂 start to change color?
What sounds do you hear in the Fall?

Along with doing some creative and colorful crafts such as:
Paper plate apple 🍎 core!
Fingerprint 🫆 tree 🌳!
Handprint acorn!
Happy Fall y’all handprint!
Leaf 🍂 rubbing!

We have also been working on our fine motor skills while making our names using play-dough and working our hand/eye coordination as well as practicing our pencil ✏️ grasp to help us write ✍️ both our names and letters of the alphabet. ☀️ Preschool recap ☀️

We have been slacking in making posts but not on making memories!! This summer has been a blast! We have made memories everywhere we have gone!

While we were making memories and having fun we were also learning! We were learning about friendships, caring for others, safety while out in the community, the people in our community that keep us safe and problem solving, when something doesn’t work the first time, we try again a new way!💓

We are so sad that summer is over and a lot of our friends have left us to open their new chapter at big kid school but we know that the memories will never stop and they are just in the next room! (before and after school😉)

Since school has been back in session, we have focused our attention on helping our new little friends transition to our room!💓 We are so proud of them and how fast they have caught onto our rules and routines!😊 We are also so proud of our kiddos that stayed with us as they have taken the role of “big kid” in the classroom and embraced the littles and taken them under their wing to show them how to play with each other, follow rules, and help them get used to our schedule!🥹🤩

Hello from our preschool friends!✨

For the last few weeks we have been learning about all different things. We have also been switching to our summer routines and schedules! ☀️

We discussed
-our Mommies for Mother’s Day! 💐
-gardening 🥕
-our Daddies for Father’s Day!
-the zoo/summer 🦓 ☀️

We learned all about our families, we talked our parents and we learned their names! We talked about their favorite items such as favorite food, favorite color, favorite thing to do, etc. 💓

We talked about things that grow in the garden such as carrots 🥕, corn 🌽, tomatoes 🍅, potatoes 🥔, and so much more. We also talked about things that grow in trees like Bananas 🍌 and apples 🍎. We talked about all the things that plants need to grow, just like people, plants need food, water, and sunlight! 💧

We also talked about summertime 🌞, we talked about how we can be safe in the summer by protecting our skin with sunscreen 🧴, how we can be safe while on our walk 🚶🏼 by staying with our teachers👩‍🏫, and we also talked about safety when it comes to temperature and hydration! We know that we have to drink lots of water when it’s really hot so we don’t get sick!💧☀️

We also went to the zoo!! Stay tuned for our zoo recap coming soon! 🦓 🐅 🐘 🦒

While talking about all of these things we also worked on our letter identification, writing our names, and self preference and boundaries. We are also working on using safe hands, kind words and sharing our toys.🧸

Next week we will be talking about the Fourth of July!🇺🇸
