River Valley Special Recreation Association River Valley Special Rec creates inclusive opportunities for people with special needs to have fun and find fulfillment. The R.V.S.R.A.

is an association formed by member agencies to provide community-based Therapeutic Recreation to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Member agencies provide the primary source of operational revenue through a property tax levy available to the Park Districts who have entered into a cooperative agreement. Our member districts are: Bourbonnais Township Park District, Kankakee Valley Par

k District and Limestone Park District. The SRA views itself as a completion of the commitment of each associating Park District's responsibility to serve all its citizens including individuals with special needs. Office Hours M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm

In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed today, Friday, June 19th.

At River Valley Special Rec, we are committed to creating inclusive opportunities where every person can experience belonging, dignity, and access to meaningful recreation. Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of continuing to build communities where everyone is valued and included.

We will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22nd.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Special Olympics Volleyball Team as Unified Partners this season! Unified Sports brings athletes with and without disabilities together to compete, build friendships, and have fun as teammates.

Unified Partners must:
📍 Attend practices Mondays at 5:30 p.m. at Adventure Commons
📅 Season runs July 20th – September 14th
🏅 Be available for the Regional Tournament on Sunday, September 20th

Jesse has sold an amazing 88 car wash tickets, helping raise funds that support programs, activities, and opportunities for our participants.
