October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Please get your mammogram. Insurance will cover mammograms for woman beginning at age 40 and if considered high risk. A link to a risk assessment tool is:

Happy Fall! October is here and so is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society guidelines for mammogram screening are:
Woman between 40 & 44 should start screening every year.
Woman 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year.
Woman 55 & older can choose to have a mamogram every other year if in good health and low risk.

Woman under 40 should consult with their provider to detemine when to begin getting mammograms.

If cost is not an issue opt for a 3D mammogram.
