Fox Natural Medicine is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team in Brainerd, MN!

If you love creating a welcoming environment for patients, keeping daily operations organized, and are passionate about natural health, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do: • Warmly greet patients and manage check-in/check-out workflows • Handle calls, messages, scheduling, and billing • Assist with supplement refills and lab kit coordination • Cross-train on basic patient vitals and light clinical support (we’ll train you!)

Clinic will be closed August 17th-24th due to Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) Nationals race way event with significant noise and traffic across the street from the clinic. Please pick up all supplements by 8/14! 🌿Dr. Fox and Staff will be taking the week to recharge with limited access to phones, emails, and messages. We will be back in office on August 25th recharged and excited to see you all.

When you're looking for a naturopathic doctor, one word makes all the difference: licensed.

Currently, 26 U.S. jurisdictions have laws regulating the practice of naturopathic medicine and efforts to expand licensure to more states are ongoing. That's important, because licensure isn't just a formality. It's a meaningful safeguard for patients.

Here's something many people don't know: the titles "naturopathic doctor" and "naturopath" are sometimes used interchangeably but they are not the same thing.

A licensed naturopathic doctor (ND):
✅ Graduated from an accredited, four-year, in-residence naturopathic medical school
✅ Completed a minimum of 4,100 hours of class and clinical training
✅ Passed the NPLEX, a rigorous two-part national board exam
✅ Is regulated by a state licensing board
✅ Carries malpractice insurance and fulfills continuing education requirements
✅ Can order blood tests, X-rays, MRIs, and in many states, prescribe medications and perform minor procedures

An unlicensed naturopath, by contrast, may have widely varying levels of education, often through online or correspondence programs that are not accredited and do not qualify for the NPLEX or state licensure.

We are so excited to continue introducing the amazing people who make up the heart of our community. One of the things we believe deeply at Organic Roots Schoolhouse is that raising healthy, thriving children takes a village—and that village includes people who are passionate about supporting families in every way.

That’s why I’m so grateful to introduce Dr. Sophia Fox owner of Fox Natural Medicine here in Brainerd. Dr. Fox is a naturopathic doctor who takes a whole-person approach to health, helping families get to the root causes of concerns rather than just managing symptoms. She focuses on areas like hormone health, gut health, and complex or unresolved cases while helping patients build strong foundations through nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress support.

Dr. Fox works with patients of all ages and integrates natural approaches such as botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle care to support long-term wellness.

We are truly honored to have her join us at the Open House and share a little bit about how families in our community have such an amazing option like Fox Natural Medicine.
