Even just a few slow breaths when things feel overwhelming can make all the difference.

Did you know peacock feathers are a great mindfulness tool?

Yes, the videos are sped up. But the kids? They had to slow way down.

The goal was not about perfection. If the feather fell, that was completely okay. This was a fun way to teach them to work through frustration, have fun, and learn about mindfulness through their senses.

For this activity, they really had to notice how the feather felt in their hands, stay aware of their body and the space around them, and focus on just one thing at a time.

Adults, don't lie. You'd want to try this too, right? So fun!

We are all navigating something. It might be stress, grief, excitement or anxiety. Or, it could be something else entirely. Sometimes it's a lot of things at once.

Showing up anyway, exactly as you are, that's the thing. โ™ฅ๏ธ

And when you do, you give everyone around permission to do the same.

There is no such thing as perfection. Just presence.

Stress and anxiety are not the same thing. The difference can change how you respond to what you're feeling.

Stress is usually tied to something external. A deadline. A conflict. A big life change. It tends to ease up when the situation resolves.

Anxiety is more internal. It can show up even when everything looks fine on the outside. It often involves worry about things that haven't happened yet.

Both are real. Both deserve attention. And both respond to different approaches.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Stress often responds to solving the problem. Anxiety often responds to calming the nervous system.
