• Master’s degree (minimum 60 credit hours).
• Must include 1,000 hours of pre-master’s clinical practicum.
• Non-CACREP programs must meet specific coursework in human sexuality and substance abuse.
2️⃣ Register as an Intern (RMHCI)
• You must register before you start counting your post-grad hours!
• The 2-Year Rule: Accrue 1,500 face-to-face hours over at least 100 weeks.
• Supervision: 100 hours of supervision are required (at least 1 hour every 2 weeks).
3️⃣ The Big Exam
• Pass the NCMHCE (National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination).
4️⃣ Florida-Specific Coursework

• 8-hour Laws & Rules
• 3-hour HIV/AIDS

5️⃣ Final Application
