With deep gratitude, thoughtful planning, and care for the families we serve, Sweet Child O’ Mine is beginning a planned transition.
After many years of caring for families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, Sweet Child O’ Mine is preparing for a new chapter. This decision has been made with deep care, thoughtful planning, and a commitment to completing this season with integrity.
Sweet Child O’ Mine will continue caring for clients with estimated due dates through January 31, 2027, and we remain committed to completing that care with transparency, consistency, and respect.
At this time, we are not accepting new clients with estimated due dates after January 31, 2027.
For current clients, full care remains in place. We will continue prenatal care, birth center birth for eligible clients, postpartum care, records access, billing support, account reconciliation, and communication as we move through this transition.
As part of this process, we are open to conversations with any qualified birth center operator who may be interested in leasing the Brandon facility and continuing birth center services under their own corporation after Sweet Child O’ Mine completes this chapter. Planning months in advance may create a smooth transition and a meaningful opportunity for the right operator to step into an established, medically equipped, community-known birth center space. If you know someone who may be interested in having this conversation, or if you are interested in this opportunity, please email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
We are deeply grateful for every family who has trusted Sweet Child O’ Mine since we began in 2009. It has been an honor to serve this community and to walk with so many families through such important moments in their lives.
We are also deeply grateful to the staff, midwives, birth assistants, students, doulas, colleagues, and support people who have helped make Sweet Child O’ Mine what it has been. This work has taken many hands and many hearts, and we are thankful for each one.
Our priority is to honor this chapter by completing it with the same care, intention, and respect that have guided the work from the beginning.
