Wesson's Rescue Wesson's Rescue was started when I adopted my dog Wesson in 2011. My passion is helping animals when I am able. It is just me hands on helping the animals.

My name is Cassandra Parker and I run the Wesson's Rescue out of Brandon, MS. Right now my main goal is helping unchecked colonies of cats receive medical care, spay or neuter, and find new homes if possible. The number of cats in Mississippi who need homes, medical attention, and simple spay and neuter are in the hundreds of thousands. Please be nice to cats and do the best you can for them! Spay and Neuter all of your pets but especially your cats that are hard to contain. They can become pregnant as early as 4 months old! Due to overpopulation in populated areas, community cats are treated unfairly because they are seen as a nuisance. Many of them die from disease and starvation due to unchecked populations. Let's do better for our feline friends! Reach out to Mississippi Spay and Neuter Clinic in Richland, MS to see what you can do to help your community cats or even your own personal animals!

Two more kitties dropped off for their spay or neuter surgeries today from the Pearl neighborhood that has become overrun with cats.

When I went to trap, this was the first time I had ever seen these 2. They look young, so I am so glad I got them before they started adding more kittens to the population! ❤️

This makes 4 cats tnr'd and 1 kitten rescued from this neighborhood!

Jack, Mama Kitty, and Boy Cat

Mama Kitty and Boy Cat are ferals that I trapped, spayed and neutered, rabies vaccinated and returned to their neighborhoods afterward.

Jack was a very friendly roaming kitten in this neighborhood that a resident handed over to me when I was trapping the other 2. He is now vetted and pending adoption!

This neighborhood is overrun and I will try to help with a few more TNRs. Please contact me if you would be willing to sponsor a kitty. The fees are $33 each. ❤️

The most bittersweet part of rescue is finding out some of the babies who found their forever through the rescue have now moved on across the rainbow bridge.
Denny and Missy were some of the first pups I came across on my journey into rescue. I remember how I rescued both of them. And I remember their adoption days like it was yesterday and not 10+ years ago! They both had great moms and an awesome life. For that I will always be grateful ❤️

Thank you Maggie and Kim for loving these beautiful girls for their whole lives!

We are currently working on a colony in Canton, MS. This will take some time as there are approximately 30 cats that can not be returned to their birthplace. Their owner is an elderly woman in failing health. Her husband loved these cats and they loved him. But it was just not financially possibly for them to get medical treatment.
I would love to fulfill her wishes to find them loving homes. Or at the very least, safe places for them to go once they have been fixed. Please message us if you can provide a safe place for any of these kitties to go after their medical care
