Happy National Grandparents Day! πŸ’™

Whether it's a Sunday dinner tradition, a story told a hundred times, or just always being there β€” grandparents hold families and communities together in ways that are hard to put into words.

Here in Stone and Taney counties, we know how much healthier, happier communities depend on strong family connections across every generation. Today, we're celebrating the grandparents who make that possible.

Drop a comment and tell us about a grandparent who's made a difference in your life. We'd love to hear about them. πŸ‘‡

πŸ“· Behind the scenes!
Yesterday we had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for our upcoming Legacy Giving Guide Brochure, and we couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to help us.
A huge thank you to Tracey, Bre, Debbie, and Josie for braving the heat and helping us capture some beautiful images! With four generations represented, they perfectly showcased the lasting impact of creating a legacy that spans generations.
We're also so incredibly grateful to Sheila with .photography for her time and talent to help bring this project to life. Thank you for capturing these special moments so beautifully!
We are excited to share the finished brochure soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to learn more about how legacy giving can make a lasting impact on our community, visit: https://skaggsfoundation.org/planned-giving/

A year of kindness, responsibility, and student success. πŸŽ‰

During the 2025–2026 grant cycle, Skaggs Foundation was proud to support Gift of Hope through four Helping Hands grants β€” bringing Cents of Pride Stores to Forsyth Schools, Hollister Schools, Kirbyville Middle School, and Mark Twain School.

Students earn "cents" for positive behaviors like good attendance, perseverance, and kindness β€” then exchange them for school supplies, books, hygiene items, snacks, and more.

The rewards fit on a shelf. The impact doesn't.

Thank you to Gift of Hope and our school partners for reminding students every day that their efforts matter. πŸ’™

Healing isn't just clinical β€” sometimes it's a deck of cards, musical instruments, art supplies, or a puzzle that gives someone a sense of normalcy during a hard time.

Thanks to Skaggs Foundation support, the Adult Psych Unit at Cox Branson now has new recreational therapy items to help patients cope, connect, and find small moments of calm during treatment. Angie Yates and her team see firsthand how much these tools matter, not as extras, but as real parts of the healing process.

We recently had the opportunity to collect feminine hygiene products during a July Social Hour event that we hosted with the Women Empowerment Group. These ladies SHOWED UP! πŸ’ͺ
We donated half the products to The Crisis Center of Taney County, Inc. and the other half to Harbor House Domestic Violence Center. What an honor to give back to incredible organizations serving ladies and families in Stone and Taney counties. 🩷
