Our Childbirth Preparation Classes are continuing as scheduled, providing expecting parents with practical knowledge, hands-on skills, and the confidence to approach labor, birth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care with greater peace of mind.

We understand that many in our community have questions about the birthing center's planned closure. We are here to help you prepare, answer your questions, and ensure you feel empowered as you plan for your baby's arrival.

Fourth of July Community Pride 🇺🇸
This Fourth of July, as we celebrate the freedoms and values that bring us together, our community also came together for another important cause: keeping the BMH Birthing Center open.

The outpouring of support was truly inspiring. Families, healthcare advocates, BMH staff, local leaders, and community members stood side by side, united in the belief that access to safe, local maternity care is important for our region. The signs held high and the voices raised in support demonstrated just how much the Birthing Center means to our community.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke out, and continues to advocate for the future of maternal healthcare in our community. Together, we will keep working to ensure that local families continue to receive care close to home.

Extreme heat can be dangerous—please help spread the word about available cooling shelters in Windham County.

If you or someone you know needs a safe, air-conditioned place to cool down, resources are available throughout the county. Staying cool, hydrated, and connected can help prevent heat-related illness, especially for older adults, young children, and those with chronic health conditions.

📍 View cooling shelter locations and hours:

Heat can cause serious illness. On very hot days, sometimes your body temperature can get dangerously high. This makes you at greater risk for serious heat illnesses.
