🎉 A new weapon in the fight against cancer is now available at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The Murtha Cancer Center is now approved to provide cutting-edge CAR-T cell therapy, which reprograms a patient’s own immune cells to find and destroy certain blood cancers.

As the only facility in the U.S. Department of War approved to provide CAR-T therapy, Walter Reed is expanding access to potentially life-changing treatment for service members, retirees and their families and bringing new hope to patients who may have exhausted other options.
