The correct answer is B. Funeral services cannot start without the legal next of kin giving permission. In fact, the legal next of kin is the person who begins the process when someone passes away, including choosing the funeral home. It doesn't matter who has the insurance policies or the money; nothing can move forward until the legal next of kin is involved. Ideally, the person paying and the legal next of kin will agree. Remember, a Power of Attorney has no authority once a person has died.

Today, we share with heavy hearts the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Liam "Luc" McBean.

Luc was more than a member of our team—he was family. He brought kindness, laughter, unwavering loyalty, and a genuine compassion that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he was supporting a coworker, comforting a family, or simply making someone smile, Luc gave his whole heart to everything he did.

The impact he made on our team and our community cannot be measured. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched through his generosity, friendship, and the care he showed others every single day.
