Sometimes more surgery means more natural results!

If you’ve gone to a surgery consult and wound up discussing more than you initially thought, there may be a good reason for that.

Many times, procedures are complimentary to one another, and give you an overall more comprehensive correction rather than spot treating.

For example, a facelift without a brow lift may wind up looking more unnatural because it can lead to bunching in the temple.

Understated elegance. Not every facial plastic surgery is meant to be dramatic. This young woman was bothered by the heaviness of her upper lids, and underwent an upper blepharoplasty about 3 weeks ago.

She looks completely natural and her eye shape has been perfectly maintained, but she looks more awake and lifted. You can see especially in the smiling photos how much less hooding she has in the outer corner of the eye.

Her scars are still fresh, and the pink color and even some small bumps are perfectly normal. Sun protection and scar massage are the key at this time.

She is far from healed, but the results are already speaking for themselves!

Upper blepharoplasty can be done awake under local anesthesia or asleep with IV sedation, completely per patient preference.

Improved symmetry, improved lateral hooding with smile. The upper lid space is much less “crowded”, eyes appear more open.

It is perfectly normal for incisions to be pink at this stage, and frequently have small beads of scar tissue that can be felt with the fingertip. These respond well to massage and scar gel. The color fades naturally with time and sun protection.

Have you used AI software to see what you would look like after facial plastic surgery?

It’s undoubtedly fun to do, but using AI generated after photos may give an unrealistic picture of what is possible with surgery.

I would much rather see an actual photo of you from when you were younger !

1 month after deep CO2 laser resurfacing!

She has significant improvement in the lines around the mouth/lips, as well as reduction in hyperpigmentation/brown spots.

Collagen production will continue even 6-8 weeks after laser resurfacing.

💥 This can be done on its own or as part of a larger facial rejuvenation!
💥 Downtime is generally about 10-14 days for deeper resurfacing treatments.
💥 There is no pain during recovery, but redness, swelling, and crusting/flaking are normal!

Interested in a facelift but nervous about anesthesia? We’ve got you covered!

I choose to use deep IV sedation for my patients undergoing facelifts (and most other facial surgeries). This means you are receiving medication in your IV to keep you sleeping but still breathing on your own. You are not intubated (breathing tube) and there is no anesthesia machine breathing for you.

This type of anesthesia is very safe and very effective, and allows me to do my best work while you are snoozing away 💤
