Show Me How Easy It Can Be
When I'm praying, manifesting, asking the universe to help me with something, I always end with this:
"Show me how easy it can be."
Not make it easy. Not take this from me. Just — show me. I've spent enough years doing it the hard way, I know it well. And I also know it doesn't have to be that hard.
The gentle nudges always come first. Always. Even when we don't notice them. A quiet knowing. A no we feel first. The thing we keep almost doing, but don't. The feeling we keep brushing past. It only becomes hard when we stop listening. Then the nudge becomes a shove.
A little caveat... I'm talking only about soul alignment here. Not the things that were never yours to control. The other things. The ones you do have a hand in. The ones that bring you back into line with yourself.
Because this is what's here for us now, a lighting up of the nodes of fate. An eclipse does this. A total lunar eclipse last Wednesday happened at the south node, and it's when the sun is entirely eclipsed, hidden from view, by the moon. Yes, it was last week, but celestial happenings aren't appointments.
They're timelines. Portals. Invitations.
This eclipse is no different. It isn't a day. It's a season. We will feel the reverberations most acutely for weeks to come.
Eclipses deal with fate, destiny. The nodes are your soul destiny line.
The eclipse happened at the S. Node. This node is familiar, it's territory you've been to before. But not like this.
It's familiar, but it's new. And like every new threshold you have choice. You can walk through the doorway and do what you already know needs doing to get in alignment with your soul. Or the universe can drag you through it — the drama, the argument, the job that ends — because you didn't do it when the nudges were more gentle.
It's the whole aim of an eclipse, to pull you back in line with your original blueprint, what your soul came here to experience. And what doesn't fit is going to fall away. That part isn't up for negotiation. But it doesn't have to be hard, in fact, ask the skies to show you how easy it can be and let me know what happens.
The only real choice is how. You can initiate it yourself, as an empowered creator with a say in it. Or the universe will do it for you, and that's inevitably more painful.
We have so many different timelines available to us right now. And some will lead you exactly where you're trying to go, what you're trying to get back in touch with -- joy, love, purpose, connection, inspiration.
So let it pulls the things into your life, and let it eclipses things out. Not just people — the job, the car, the appliance that finally quits after years of warning you. The pet you've loved a long time. The house, the friendship, the routine, the thing you thought you'd have forever.
All the things that come and go in a life.
It can feel personal when it's happening. But an eclipse isn't punishing you — it's clearing the road for you. Every one of those things was holding a shape you'd outgrown. Some of them you've known were finished for a while. Some you didn't. Both are true, and both still go.
Which brings me back to the only prayer I know how to end with.
Show me how easy it can be.
Whatever you're asking of life right now, ask yourself this too: am I doing my part? Am I choosing the things that bring it closer? Am I becoming someone who could hold it if it arrived tomorrow?
And over these next couple weeks, may you feel the deep transformation that eclipse season can bring, along with the deep ease that becomes possible when we stop resisting what is ready to change. There may be few moments this year with more potential for a new trajectory. Which one will you choose?
Sending Love,
Joy
