I am inviting you in the first group to a special Saturday class Saturday July 26 .

The title of the class is
Summer Yoga Recharge, Reset and Rest for Health and Wellness.
Open to people new to yoga and to people more experienced with yoga.
Bring your friend or family member!

It includes:
Basic Yoga for strength and mobility, basic yoga for stretching, basic yoga for balance, supported basic yoga breathing, basic meditation practice, and relaxing deeply restorative practice.

Hi all! I am looking forward to working with you in the massage treatment room and (or) in the yoga/meditation space. Today I am inspired by a class I'm taking on Orthopedic Massage Therapy. I got out my anatomy books to review soft tissue details. I really enjoy helping people relieve pain. This week one of my regular clients told me that my treatments "took the spell out of her
neck" and relieved a three week cycle. Today I learned a few new things current physiology scientists have discovered about the anatomy of tendons and old concepts about inflammation in tendons and how that relates to pain. My Missouri License in Therapeutic Massage requires me to take at least twenty hours of course work every two years for renewal.

I'm currently working out of a nice office/ studio space in Hanley Industrial Court, Brentwood , MO: the Movement Center, 645 Hanley Industrial Court.

Jan Herzog Yoga and Massage Therapy

Jan has been teaching yoga and practicing therapeutic massage for over 25 years. She is a licensed massage therapist and has reached the status of 500 hr Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance.

She loves sharing from her own dedicated practice of yoga and meditation and from her extensive education. She has over 5,000 hours of yoga, massage and bodywork coursework.

She has helped hundreds of people in the St. Louis region. She helps relieve chronic pain and stress, she expands overall health and wellbeing and she renews joy.

Jan also has taught weekend yoga retreats and yoga workshops. Her goal in both therapeutic massage and in yoga practice is to share and expand benefits such as pain and stress relief, mobility, balance, strength, flexibility, centering, calming, happiness and peace.

I am excited to offer a basic level yoga series Tuesdays in May. Past participants love the format of consistency with the same group for four weeks.

A good time to try yoga is now. I recently taught a patient/ client who had chronic back pain. Her doctor ruled out major spine and nerve issues and recommended yoga. After two private yoga sessions her pain was 80-90% gone. Yoga cannot fix everything but safe yoga often is the missing link to feeling better right away. I combine safe and stabilizing actions with movements and forms that open your muscles and fascia. This series is more focussed on stretch and flexibility and designed to complement your fitness routine.
