Not being accountable sends a loud message.

This looks like a great course to take for those healing from narcissistic abuse.

This looks like a great course to take for those healing from narcissistic abuse.

For years, people have asked when I’d finally create a course on echoism.

I understood the request: although the idea clearly resonates with many people, there still isn’t a course devoted to echoism, especially one taught by the person who first introduced and researched the concept.

So after a long time thinking about how to make it genuinely useful, I finally built one.

This course explores where echoism comes from, how it quietly shapes relationships and self-worth, and what actually helps people begin to take up more space without feeling selfish for doing it.

If people are interested, I’ll put the course link in the comments tonight.

For now, I’m curious: what part of echoism do you wish more people understood?

The American Counseling Association (ACA) is profoundly disappointed in today's ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Colorado's ban on conversion therapy. Despite the ruling, the evidence remains clear: conversion therapy is harmful, discredited, and unsupported by science, and its risks to client well-being are well documented. ACA, SAIGE and other leading mental health organizations remain committed to ethical, evidence-based, and affirming care, and will continue to oppose practices that violate these standards of care.

Cheating is often reduced to a list of behaviors.

But infidelity is not defined by a universal checklist.

It is defined by broken agreements.

Every relationship, whether monogamous, open, polyamorous, or otherwise, has sexual and emotional boundaries.

Some are explicitly stated.
Some are implicitly understood.

When those agreements are violated, in person or online, it is not just “a mistake.”

It is unethical non-monogamy.

And what makes it so destabilizing isn’t simply the behavior itself.

It’s the rupture of trust.

When agreed-upon boundaries are crossed:

Trust is broken.
Safety is shaken.
Attachment is injured.

This is why betrayal trauma isn’t about being “too sensitive.”

It’s about the nervous system responding to the loss of relational safety.

The defining question isn’t: “Would other people consider this cheating?”

It’s: Is this cheating in my relationship?
