Faith Friday 🤍

Sometimes we believe… and still struggle to believe.

Years of waiting and disappointment can make even faithful hearts weary.

“I believe; help my unbelief.” — Mark 9:24

If your faith feels tired today, the prayer at the end is for you. 🙏🏾

A little re-introduction from yours truly! 🤍

27 years after her C-section, she decided it was finally time to do something for herself. ❤️

“After 27 years post C-section I decided it was time to do something for myself! I was actually ready for a mommy makeover after talking about it for years! I did lots of research and read numerous reviews of many, many surgeons… She did a fantastic job and restored my self-esteem.”

— An excerpt from this patient’s review 🥺❤️

This beautiful patient traveled from Mississippi to see me at age 51. She was 27 years out from her C-section and had also lost approximately 60 lbs. Her biggest concerns were the loose abdominal skin and the deflation and position of her breasts.

And as I often remind patients: you cannot exercise loose skin away.

Her Mommy Restoration™ included:
• Abdominoplasty + liposuction
• Breast lift + 295 cc implants

Case details:
Age: 51
BMI: 22
Surgery time: approximately 4 hours
No overnight stay
Results shown: 6.5 months post-op

She stayed locally for 6 days after surgery and returned to her work as a respiratory therapist around weeks 2–3 with restrictions.

What I love most about her story is that she had thought about surgery for YEARS. That is something I hear from so many women. Sometimes the timing simply has to be right.

We can talk about skin, scars, breast position and abdominal contour—but her words, “restored my self-esteem,” say so much more.

Feeling comfortable in your body and confident in your clothes matters. ❤️

So grateful that years later, I still get to share her journey.

Mommy, Restored™

Part 4 of 5 | Ashley’s Story

One of the most vulnerable moments Ashley shares is something many patients quietly carry with them: the fear of not making it through surgery.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Ashley underwent a mastectomy, tissue expander placement, and later her implant exchange as part of her breast reconstruction journey. In this chapter of her story, she opens up about the fear she faced before surgery—and how she found the courage to move forward.

If you’ve ever felt afraid before a procedure, you’re not alone. I hope hearing Ashley’s words reminds you that it’s okay to acknowledge those fears and still take the next step.

I want plastic surgery… but I’m afraid because I form keloids.

I hear this concern all the time, and it’s an important conversation to have.

Having a history of keloids does not automatically mean you’re not a candidate for plastic surgery. It does mean we need to have an honest discussion about your individual risk, choose the right approach, and be proactive about scar management before, during, and after surgery.

Healing is a process, and in some patients, that process requires additional treatments along the way. The key is understanding your options and having a plan.

Watch until the end as I discuss what I consider when evaluating patients with a history of keloids.

Have you been avoiding a procedure because of concerns about keloid scars? Let me know in the comments.

Sometimes, one decision can change the course of your entire journey.

Today we’re continuing Ashley’s 5-part testimonial series as she shares what led her to choose me for her breast reconstruction after her breast cancer diagnosis.

Choosing a reconstructive surgeon is deeply personal. It’s about more than credentials or technique—it’s about finding someone you trust to walk with you through one of the most vulnerable seasons of your life.

I’m incredibly honored that Ashley entrusted me with her care and grateful that she’s willing to share her perspective in hopes that it encourages another woman who may be facing similar decisions.

If you missed Part 1, be sure to watch it first, and join us every Thursday as we continue Ashley’s inspiring story. 🤍
