Dear Friend of The Forgotten Woman Ministries and Tranquility,
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." - Paul, Galatians 6:9
This evening as I was thinking through all that God has done and is doing through this ministry and our little corner on Main Street in Brevard, I wanted to send you a note and try to express my gratitude for your investment.
To be honest, I could sit here and write a book about the people that have come through the doors to be served, the daily online conversations that are had, the counseling sessions, the Ladies’ Nights, the Game Nights, the Grief groups and counseling, the connections through blogging and writing… but you don’t have time to read a book right now and I can’t even put all of it into words at this time.
What I want you to know is that people are meeting the Lord - choosing Him and receiving Him as their personal Savior. Intense counseling is taking place with many: some who come with trauma backgrounds, some from abusive marriages, some battling depression and su***de, some simply wanting to learn what it means to live for Jesus. Relationships and friendships are being developed through our Ladies’ and game nights: right now we have women from more than 10 different churches who come together throughout the weeks and encourage one another in numerous ways. Biblical counseling is also done not only in person but also online through video chat with people across the country - this venue has opened up more opportunities to point hurting people to The One Who offers hope and answers.
None of this would be possible without your financial support. Whether you have given once or twice, or if you give monthly; my heart is so grateful and I am asking the Lord to bless you abundantly for your investment in the lives of others through this ministry. Thank you. Thank you. Our financial needs have not increased, but remain around $2000 a month to keep the doors open. Those who give regularly make up about $500 of that and the rest: well, to be honest; we don’t know from month to month how or when God will provide. He continues to do so and continues to keep us on our knees as we depend completely upon Him to sustain the work. We do have a waiting list for those who need Biblical counseling but do not have the funds for the minimum donation of $50 per hour. Would you pray with us that God would provide for us to be able to work with these women?
