Although this is a contractor position, the candidate would be heavily supported with developing their niche as a clinician and if they aspire to own a practice one day. We don’t do non-compete agreements because we believe clients should get to choose who they work with and frankly, there are enough mental health needs to go around. 💕

It’s Earth Day. I’m tired of megalomaniacs taking our earth and living beings away from us. You and I can build gardens, create community, clean trash, reduce our carbon footprints…AND governments can do their part to not destroy our one home and the home of beings that don’t have a say in the matter. They can stop the toxic legacy they leave behind with their chemical warfare.

Climate grief and anxiety is real. It is also extremely political. Our mental health, well-being, survival, and futures are all political. ♥️🌎

We’re wrapping up and I have some thoughts on movement as a walk/run therapist! We are always hearing how great exercise/movement is for us, to the point that people claim it’s their therapy. Yes, movement can have many benefits, similar to therapy and I highlight those in this blog, but it’s not the same as therapy AND it’s only beneficial when you are nourished. Movement is beneficial when it fits in your life without causing physical, mental, or emotional harm. 💪💪
•
Therapists on this side of aisle see how nuanced movement, food, and overall well-being can be. Therapists like me want to help you see how movement can be a coping skill that allows you to live more fully and that this work is intertwined with your relationship with your body, food, and movement. It’s kind of hard to talk about movement or do movement based therapy without talking about your relationship to your body and food, right? 🤔🤔

There are wonderful fitness coaches out there who understand disordered eating and the need to carefully approach movement for all bodies. Read my latest blog where I share resources on how to find this type of coach. And shout out to and her work as a fitness coach who really gets it!

He goes on to mention physiological sensations, how he is going to cope, and his people who will support him. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 Thank you Bad Bunny for this beautiful piece of art that unites us.

Our grief group has just a few spots left! Our art prompts are planned and we are sooo ready! But we want to make sure the word gets out and you don’t miss the opportunity to join us.

We know it’s been frigid outside this winter so although this group does take place outdoors on some sessions, we have the opportunity to go inside at the if it is too cold or if there is inclement weather.
